With the new embarkation process in place, I'm not really clear about where/when I drop our bags to be checked in when we arrive at the PC terminal. Got it, we arrive at the PAT time, but do I pull over (we're driving to the port) to the drop off/pick up area next to the terminal, drop the bags with a porter then proceed to the parking garage for testing/waiting/boredom? Just trying to get my arms around this before we head out in a few weeks. TIA

Our PAT was 11:00 - 11:15 and we pulled into the terminal around 10:55. You'll pull up curbside first with the porters and they will take the tagged bags from your vehicle. Then you're directed to the parking structure for testing and parking.

Don’t worry about what to do. They will guide you. When you pull in, there are CM’s who point you where to park. They will then check your port arrival form to make sure you are there on time. If you are, you give your luggage to a porter, and they clear you to enter the parking garage. If you come too early, they tell you to come back at the correct time.

You then pay to park, pull into the parking garage and pull into a slot for testing - there are CM’s guiding you the whole time. When you pull into your testing slot, they look at your safe passage QR code, and instruct you how to do your covid test. Once competed, you go up to another level to park and wait for your results. Ours took 45 minutes, then you are cleared to enter the terminal, check in and go thru security.

You had it figured out. Down to the waiting, boredom.

You can park where you want after testing - Level 3 is the walk-over to the Terminal.

Have a great cruise!

So if your PAT is 11:00 - 11:15, how early can you arrive? Can I pull up at 10:40? We usually arrive the night before so we are always pulling into the garage the moment it opens (excited group).

We heard stories they were very strict and would turn people away, but when we pulled up at 10:55, there were already others ahead of us, and I know 11am was the earliest. I'm not sure exactly how early is too early, but there were already about a dozen cars or so already parked in the garage to wait for testing results.

If you don’t have a ton of luggage you may want to keep it in the car until you gwt test results and then wheel it over from the garage to the porters. Just in case someone tests positive. I heard it can take hours for them to find luggage and pull it off the ship in those cases. But probably low risk, especially if you are doing any self-testing before heading to the port.

There were 10:45 PATs on our cruise. Is it possible that was the case for yours and it just sold out really fast before you completed check in?

11 AM you may get away with 5 minutes early, they are strictly enforcing the times right now.
