Ok, this maybe seems like a silly question, but we are checking all our luggage for our trip, so should I wait with the luggage while my husband goes and starts the rental car process (Dollar rental car, we using fast lane). Do you think we will save ourselves any time or any lines at the rental car process?

Thanks!

The only problem would be where to meet up. There isn't any place he can park with the rental car to load the luggage. I would just all wait together and then get the car.

When you are leaving MCO do curbside check in with the luggage. Have your husband show his ID and then he can return the car and meet up with you in the terminal before security.

O.K. I'm lost now. You mean you can't pull up to the Arrivals door/curb at MCO in order to put your luggage in the car and drive off? How does everyone usually do this? What is the standard procedure for getting your rental and loading your luggage and people?

last time we flew into MCO, I waited with the kids while DH went to National to get the rental car. By the time we went to the curb with all our bags, DH pulled up a few minutes later and loaded up the trunk. You can not park your car at the curb, but pulling it over for a few minutes to load the trunk is no problem. We plan on doing the same thing when we go in 2 weeks.

We always rent a car, through National, and this is what we do.

We all go and get the luggage and then we all go and walk to the cars and pick out our car together. Then we load it up and take off.

If we had to stop at a counter first, we'd still all go together. It's too difficult, almost impossible to have someone go and get the car and then pick you and your luggage up.

For our last trip I went to National EA to pick up the rental, while DH and DS collected luggage. They took it to the curb and I pulled around to let them load. It would have been quick and easy, except our garment bag got mangled and I had to go inside to file a claim. So DH had to circle around the airport in the car until I finished.

The driver can't pull over and wait while you come out with the luggage. They would have to keep driving around till you are standing on the curb. They also have police there so you don't take very long.
