Lucky nugget saloon or silver spur steakhouse?

Can't decide which to book for our dec trip,can't decide between the lucky nugget saloon or the silver spur steakhouse, will be either lunch or dinner on fri 2nd dec? we are 4 adults, me, DH and my mum and dad and my two Dd's 9 & 7, I have checked out the menus on the DLRP food guide site, and both have enough choice to meet everyones tastes, my dad loves all things cowboy and western and is staying at the cheyenne because of this! my Dd,s have done character meals before and have always enjoyed the interaction but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we went to the siver spur with no characters so.......

which should I book?

For me this is a no brainer Lucky Nugget Saloon.
We loved the character breakfast with Grannie and Grandad in tow last year. I swear they enjoyed it as much as the troops. Sharing this with their grandchildren, I think made it even more magical

thanks cyrano, the oldies have been to florida with us twice and have always loved the character meals as much as the kids, well so did I too really

do I need to book for the lucky nugget and would you say lunch or dinner is best?

I enjoyed the Silver Spur when I went. It was very quiet and nice to sit down for a few moments respite from all the frenetic excitement. Food was good too.

Haven't been to the Silver Spur but it's table service and I imagine more of an "adult" feel to it. Lucky Nugget is a Tex Mex buffet but also with things like pizza & chicken nuggets and of course has the characters. Personally I'd go for the Lucky Nugget every time! Each time we've been, the park has shut at 8pm so I don't think dinner has been an option - we've always been at lunchtime anyway.

When we went we booked at City Hall, not sure if you need to but worth doing to be sure of a place.
