Lucky Bunny goes to WDW with photos!

You may have to post a report about Prince Charming. lol I love your trip report. I would have done the same thing about the soap situation.

Lovin your report! I can't believe you went into the connecting room for soap. That is so funny! :rotfl2:

Great report so far! We should start the "people who take solo trips with stuffed animals" club!

You have my deep admiration for ending up naked in someone else's hotel room on your very first day of vacation.

OMG LMAO here about the soap! you are so lucky it was unlocked (which is a housekeeping no no) and that noone was there! Imagine their faces with a towel clad woman runs in their room! :-0

Subscribing to this thread and loving it so far! Have a great time with potential Prince Charming!! (Make sure he likes rabbits!!!) :thumbsup2

For those who asked for a Potential Prince Charming (PPC) update...I have a confession to make! My trip report made me late! :rolleyes2 I wanted to finish the last section and I cut it too close!

To top it off, I got lost. I am relatively new to CT and don't often venture out of Stamford. The date was in South Norwalk. Not too far, not hard to find, but I still got lost.

Then, I forgot that I now live in an area where you have to pay to park! I just don't get that :confused3 I had to crawl around my car looking for lose quarters. I finally found $2 and fed the machine.

So, I didn't show up until 7:20 for my 7:00 pm date. I hate people like me! Really, I am normally not like this. The DIS boards distracted me. :rolleyes1 I couldn't even call PPC because I don't own a cell phone - yup, I am the last person in the US without a cell...gawsh, I felt so bad!

Anyway, my PPC was very understanding. Bonus points for him! We met at a little cafe, shared some food, and talked a lot. It was a nice time. As first dates go, it was a good one. He still ranks as PPC material...now we have to see if he calls for a second date!

Up next...Watches, Watches, who’s got some watches?

We definitely should start a club!! All we need is a really cool name...any ideas? Lucky Bunny asked me to tell Stitch hi! We both loved your trip report!

As for the soap incident, the way you phrase is makes it sound so much more daring and intriguing than I remember it :rotfl2:

Time for a little more background music! During last year’s trip, I purchased an Eeyore watch on our last day. At the time I purchased, the nice CM told me that they didn’t have a jeweler onsite to size the watch, but that I could go to any jeweler to have it sized. I assumed she meant any jeweler in the non-Disney world! I was wrong, or so I thought. When I got home from the trip, I pulled out the watch and tried it on. It was huge and it didn’t seem to have a clasp to it or anyway to size it. I interrupted this to mean that it couldn’t be brought to a non-Disney jeweler, put the watch back in its box, and planned to take care of this when I returned to WDW. Hey, what’s one more excuse to go to Disney?

So, fast-forward to day 1. My first order of business is to get my watch sized. I head straight to the watch store…

Susanne in the watch store was a big help. Actually, I am impressed that she didn’t bust out laughing at me. I had the power all along! I could have sized my watch myself at any time. The watch has removable clasps – I never needed a jeweler! Susanne apologized for the CM telling me incorrect information and fixed my watch. Wow, that was easy!

As I exited the watch store, I noticed everyone lining up for the Share a Dream Come True parade. This was a first for me – I have never seen this parade!

Ahhh! Thanks! I have a huge grin on my face and I am blushing!

To everyone - thanks for all the compliments! For me, this was about reliving my trip and giving back to the DIS boards. I am having fun doing this and it makes me happy that others are enjoying it too.

Okay...next up...Flirting with Goofy!

:sunny:

enjoying your reports and photos
thanks for sharing!

After the parade, I had to decide what to do next. All of my Disney research had taught me that being in MK on a Saturday afternoon would be crowded. I knew that I had to think carefully or I would spend hours in line. Not exactly what I had in mind for my first day at WDW. Hmmm, what to do?

At this points, I made a not-so-wise choise. I decided to head to Mickey’s Toontown Fair on the WDW Railroad. I am going to share my feelings about the WDW Railroad. I love the Railroad. I can (and do) ride the Railroad around the park just to relax. I think every park should have a themed people mover - especially Epcot! Okay, enough gushing about my love affair with the Railroad

Singing "Colors of the Wind", I get off the train at Toontown. As I walked down the path, I noticed Pluto sitting in Minnie's garden with a very small line. Hehe! I immediately headed to Minnie’s house.

I toured a very crowded Minnie's house. Actually, I didn't really tour it. I walked behind a large teenage gaggle of girls and tried not to get hit in the head with their over-large Tinker Bell balloon. This balloon was enormous. The girls were oblivous. It wasn't a good combination.

Somewhere near Minnie's kitchen, I was able to dodge past Tink and friends and escape into the garden. Ahhh...peace, nirvania and PLUTO!! I was so excited and had to remember that I am 30, not 3. Nah, what fun is that?

Here is a picture of Pluto and I:

Leaving Pluto behind, I headed into the Hall of Fame. Alas, another first for me! At the beginning of the queue, I made my choice – Minnie, Donald, and Goofy – and got in line. After about 10 minutes, I was herded into the “viewing” room.

I admired Minnie’s dress, had her sign a postcard for a friend, and posed for a picture...

Next, it was Donald. I got Donald’s autograph, reassured him that he was #1 and posed for a picture…

The final character was Goofy. As I walked up to Goofy, he made a big kissing noise.
Goofy flirted with me. It made my day. First off, Goofy is incredible tall. Being 6’ myself, I appreciate a tall, umm whatever Goofy is. Second, what girl doesn’t like to be admired? I am not sure, but I guess Goofy dug my “business” casual attire! Whatever it was, Goofy made several kissing noises to me. I wonder if he is single…

Lunch is over...I will add more later!

When I finished flirting with Goofy – I felt bad, Goofy was holding up the line just for me – I left the Hall of Fame and headed towards Fantasyland. On the way, I grabbed a hot dog…mmmmm, hot dogs in WDW! Life is good.

As it was late afternoon, Fantasyland was a bit crowded. I decided to go to the ONE place guaranteed not to be busy. Where you ask? The Hall of Presidents! It was 10 minutes until the next show, so I found a bench, pulled out my book, and read a few pages. My feet sighed with happiness! Overall, my time at the HoP was well spent. I swear I only dozed off once (during Bush’s speech).

After HoP, clappin’, hollerin’ and foot-stompin’ was in order, so it was off to Country Bear Jamboree. Those silly country bears are always fun…it is even more fun to watch everyone get into the show.

With visions of bears and presidents floating in my head, I decided to head over to the Contemporary for some adult beverages before my dinner PS at California Grill. On the way out, I found a nice lady to take my picture with Walt and Minnie…

Drinks and dinner were excellent. As I am writing a dining review as well, I won’t go into detail here. After dinner, I took a cab from the Contemporary to POP. The grand total with tip was $25. Not too expensive and definitely worth it!

It was a quick walk to my room. I set my alarm clock for 6:30 am, washed my face, and crawled into bed. Within minutes, I was out cold. Around 2 am, I was jolted awake. Some of my neighbors had arrived home from Pleasure Island. No worries…I rolled over and quickly fell back to sleep.

To be continued with Day 2!

loving the report can't wait for more more more!!!!
also looking fwd to the dining review!!!! :cool1:
