I've been reading too many Aulani sites and can't remember where I saw things!

Last time I stayed at Aulani, I went to the Starlit Hui and enjoyed it. I read somewhere that they now offer a luau meal before Starlit Hui begins. I think it was around $45pp. Has anyone done this. If so how was it?

Also, a little :offtopic:, but does anyone have a favorite luau on Oahu? The last 2 times I went to Paradise Cove, which is up the street from Aulani. The first 2 time I went, I really enjoyed it. The last time I didn't think it was good. Thought about going to Germaines this time, but read some reviews that were not so positive. Has anyone done the luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center? I know that one doesn't serve alcohol, but I can get it as a bonus with the Go Oahu Card. Thought if we visit PCC during the afternoon, we can then stay for the luau. Taking extended family. It's their first time, so I want them to have a good experience.

There are a few other threads on this issue so if you search there is a lot more recent info on this. personally, I like the Fia Fia luau at the nearby Marriott resort. That is where we went last year (when we were staying at the Marriott) and where we will be going this year when we stay at Aulani. My understanding is it shut down for awhile and is now available only on Tues night, so if interested you should carefully check availability.
