Luau food question

We are headed to Universal Orlando next week! We were thinking about doing the luau. Does anyone know if kids (12 and under according to the website) can eat the adult food as well? Is is buffet or family style or do you have to order from a menu? Can't imagine the poor kids having to eat PB&J or pizza while the rest of us are having roasted pig and pineapple. I am hoping that it is like 'Ohana or Hoop Dee Doo and the kids' choices are just available for those traveling with picky eaters.
