Which would you choose for dinner? Primarily concerned with food quality and service.
I'm a little worried about LTT after reading another thread. :worried:

I may be in the minority here but I love LTT :thumbsup2 I haven't tried CP yet so I can't compare the two however. I'm not a buffet fan and to me LTT is a little more relaxed since it is served family style. The food, in my opinion, is very good and the characters are great :cool1:

It depends on what kind of food you like. Some hate CP because it's "fancy." Others hate LTT because it tastes "processed."

We loved LTT and are going there again this trip - on our first night! We thought the food was fine! I've also read a lot of negative comments about the food tasting *processed* but I'm not sure what that means. Sometimes I make Kraft Mac and Cheese for my crew and the LTT version didn't taste anything like that! The meat was good, we liked the stuffing and gravy, the string beans seemed to be fresh, not frozen and the dessert was delicious!

Maybe I am not a good judge of this type of "American" food as I am Puerto Rican. While I can cook a lot of different foods, from Lasagna to Goulash, I have never mastered the traditional Thanksgiving type meal! So, YMMV!

BUT - while we liked the food, we reeeaallyy liked the atmosphere! The restaurant was lovely, the service was good and we had plenty of time with the characters.

The CP....well. The food was great, better than the LTT (the salmon was especially good!). But it was SO crowded and we didn't get much attention from the characters. It was SO crowded and it was hard to get to the buffet tables. It was SO crowded and it took a long time to get more drinks. Honestly, my children loved it but it gave me a headache. So, this time around we are trying an early breakfast. I will miss the salmon but I'm hoping for a more peaceful meal!

I hope this helps you make a decision!

I'm one of those folks. LTT is sponsored by Stoffers. To me, the food tasted like heated up frozen dinners. Or like school caefteria does Thanksgiving. I wouldn't spend $28pp again for that. Though, I do like the decor and lay out.

The place also only has one bathroom stall per gender, which was not good for my IBS after that meal. I almost had to ask where the nearest alternate facitity was!

CP gets my vote for the better food! We had a much nicer meal there. I like the LTT setting and Characters better but the food was nothing memorable. I will be going back to both though on free dining. I would never pay OOP for LTT.... but I would CP.

Ooohhhh...I get it. We don't eat that sort of food - well, I've tried frozen chicken pot pies so I guess I see what you mean! I would personally compare LTT's food to Boston Market, so maybe that tastes frozen too and I just never knew ;) !!

You know, Boston Market is a good comparison. Have you ever had the turkey or ham there. It's okay but it almost doesn't seem "real". What I mean by "processed" is that the turkey is kind of in a boneless shape when it is prepared. It is not a real turkey carcass.

DH anmd I must be in the minority too. We love LTT. On our first trip we tried it for lunch and loved it so last time we did the character dinner. I didn't think it tasted like frozen food or Boston Market. We also like CP, but have only ever gone for breakfast.

I would say Cp, we have never been there but our LTT meal was less than stellar. Anyone can defrost turkey, ham and beef, throw it on a table and call it a meal. But at home atleast it would have been warmer. It just isnt for us, I home cook alot so we are used to ham and mashed potatoes w/ gravy on a regular basis.

For the money I would rather spend it (or the ts) where I feel I am getting better food for my money. I see it as for $1 more I can do 1900 park fare with prime rib, pork tenderloin, mussels, etc and still have characters for dd. I know it is "processed" buffet food, but I put more value on prime rib and tenderloin, than I do heated turkey, beef and ham slices. Just our opinion, other people love the place and go back every year!

And looking at the cp menu, I would think more choices are a better idea for a family . http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_cpd.htm

Shrimp, prime rib, pork, etc. I figure there has got to be something I like on a buffet, especially as Dh and I are such different eaters.

The frozen dinner comparison for LTT was a perfect description of the food. I thought it was the worst food we ate last year at Disney not even as good as our CS meals. We had lunch at CP and I thought the food was pretty good for a buffet, plus my 3 year old loved seeing all the Pooh characters.
