Lowest possible crowds for USO... a day with HHN or no?

Our only objective is the lowest crowds possible for our IOA and USO days. I understand IOA is not affected by HHN, but for our one USO day we keep going back and forth. We will generally arrive before RD and leave mid-late afternoon. We will be there late September.

So my question is..... Are crowds lower at Universal Studios on:

1) A day with HHN, because the park closes early, people will avoid this park and would prefer a day with longer hours.

OR

2) A day without HHN, because you won't have the extra traffic from people attending HHN arriving mid-day?

that's a good question! I don't know;), perhaps a TM could share their knowledge.

i'd go w/a non HHN park day. most people I talk to indicate they enter the parks in the afternoon on HHNs & U does heavily promote the Stay & Scream ticket.

if you want lesser crowds on the HHN dates, do not go on saturday or sunday to the studios.

the crowds increase the most around 3:30 on those days.

also, weekends usually bring out the local crowds.

depending on the week you plan to be at the studios in october, check the park hour calendar to find the dates hhn will be held.

if a park closes at 5:00, instead of 6:00, that is your indicator.

there is no rope drop at UO.
but, if you are at the entrance of the park, they sometimes open it prior to 9:00 am.

not all rides and shows are open at opening time at the studios.

i find that Tuesdays are great slower days at the park.
