Lowes offers 10% every day to active duty, and retired military

We use our 10% military discount at both Lowe's and Home Depot.

FYI - If an item is on sale at Lowe's, you will get the additional military discount. However, Home Depot will not give you a military discount if the item is already on sale. We have experienced this several times at Home Depot.

I've never had that problem at Home Depot, maybe it depends on the location.

Home Depot maxes the discount at $50.00. We bought a grill there a couple of weeks ago. There was a sign at the customer service desk explaining the military discount program with the $50 limit.

Lowe's only offers it to active duty and retired military every day. They require a valid military ID. They offer it to all veteran's who show their DD214 on Memorial Day and Labor Day. I was told this was a fairly recent change to their company policy.

The maximum discount allowed at Home Depot is $500 on a single purchase; same rules apply nationwide. The discount should apply to all purchases, even sale items (and always has when I purchase items using the discount). Here are the rules:
