Lowe's Build and Grow Toy Story Cars

Just wondering if anybody knows how long these take to do? I want to sign my kids up for the RC one but I will have to go to work afterwards and I am just wondering if it would be possible to get it done and get to work on time?

I think me helping a 5 and 2 year old with the MU chest took about 30 minutes.

Thank you! This is a great tip! We got DD signed up for the Pizza Planet truck next weekend :)

It looks like they will be doing projects from the Planes movie for the month of August if anyone is interested.

Thanks so much for this. We signed our 2 kids up (8 and 6) and took the 6 year old this morning to do the truck (Our 8 year old was away) and he had the best time. We're also signed up to the do the car in 2 weeks and we'll be signing up to do the planes.

What a fun things for the kids to do.

They were not able to give up 1 for our daughter to do, even though we did have her signed up, because she wasn't with us.

Just signed my kids up for the clinic tomorrow and the one in 2 weeks! So excited!

THANKS for the information!!!

We made the Pizza Planet truck this morning. DS (7) loved the clinic. We are signed up for RC next week. In August they will have two planes from the new movies Planes. The project takes about a half hour.

Thank you so much for posting this info! I just signed up my 10yo DS for the Pizza Planet project tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know when the sign ups start before a project? I am always too late and every store within an hour of us is full.

I am pretty sure she told me today that sign ups for the planes projects in August would open up on Monday. Sign ups for the RC car in 2 weeks are open now also.

We did it yesterday and were done in less than an hour, probably more like 30 mins. My 6 year old did one and loved it and can't wait to go back. My 9 yr old decided he didn't want to do it and just helped his brother instead. We won't be able to do the RC one b/c we will be in disney, but can't wait to sign up for the planes one. The instructions were very easy and only about 6 steps if I can remember correctly. You could definitely get the car built and then just put the stickers on when you get home.

We took DD3 for the first time today and she had a blast! She needed some help, but did better than I thought she would. They also gave me an extra kit to bring home for DS. We are signed up for the RC Car and can't wait for the next dates to open!

Do you think a 2 1/2 year old would be ok doing this? It says for kids 5 and up so I wasn't sure.

I took my six yr old niece and my three yr old niece and they both seemed to enjoy it.
The three yr old was better with the hammer than the six yr old (seemed more coordinated with it) but she did nail some pieces together while my dh wasn't looking and dh had to pry them apart, lol!
We're taking them back in two weeks for the car and I can't wait for the planes to open up!

Took DS today and it was great! Nailing those wheels was a little difficult though! To the person who asked if a 2yo could do this, no, it was tough nailing some of the pieces for my 10yo! But, you could do it for them. Actually most of the parents were puting them together for the younger kids.

The kids were given a certificate, badge, name tag, apron and goggles to keep. I thought this was really great, especially for free!

We signed up for the RC one on the 28th!

WOW! We only got the kit! My kids loved doing this and we will be back in two weeks for the RC.

When you were done, you are supposed to bring it back to the table and they will give you the certificate. when they gave you the kit, they were supposed to give you the apron and goggles.

I signed my boys up for both at the same time. The Pizza Planet truck was cool cuz the stickers covered the whole thing/ I was worried about painting it after it was put together to make it look better.
