Our quick trip down was great. We booked standard view since we switched to the YC on Saturday before our Wednesday check in. I asked SUe Ellen (DU TA) if it ws worth the extra for WV and she said not really, just see what they have on check in. Am I glad I listened to her! Check in CM said we were assigned a 1st floor room, was that okay? Disappointment must have shown on my face as I asked if there was anything on an upper floor. SHe does her little magic thing with the keyboard and lo and behold we have a third floor lagoon view room! Room number was 3063, full view of the lighthouse and boardwalk, watched Illuminations fireworks from our balcony the first night. Nice, quiet resort. Walked over to the Beach Club, it seemed a whole lot more boisterous over there. Tons of screaming toddlers in the midst of major meltdowns! Noticed that one set of drapes in the hallway between YC and BC had been YANKED down, probably by a child trying to climb them! Didn't take long for maintainence to have the rod and drapes back up. A little disappointed that the only breakfast offerings were either the character breakfast at Cape May or a very small variety of bagels and cereal in a little alcove area next to Cape May. You could refill your mugs there as well. No little "a la carte" place like Roaring Forks at WL and the snack bar at the CR. Stormalong Bay is partially closed, it was too COLD to swim for the most part. I felt sorry for the life guards sitting out there on the offchance that some brave soul might want to try their luck. BRRRRRRRR!
