we just got back from a wonderful trip to disney world. due to the fact that there were 4 adults and 2 little ones, we opted to try the sheraton vistana for the extra space. it was my first time ever off sight so i was worried but we loved staying there. we had a two bedroom in the falls section.
close to the magic kingdom, very close to downtown disney. pools were wonderful, we tried a different one every day. it was so nice having a separate room for the little ones so we could put them to bed at a decent time every night. (and not have to worry about the tv being too loud)

Awesome! Thanks for the post. We are leaving on Sept 26 for 2 weeks and are staying at the Sheraton Vistana. It looks great and we are really excited! We have a 5 year old and a 21 month old so we have a 2 bedroom villa. How were the pools? How long did it take you to get to the parks from the hotel? We are renting a car.

mbass01.........our little ones were 4 and 21 months.
we asked for a refurbished section and got the 4th (top)floor. the cathedral ceiling made the place look even bigger. another great feature was that the balcony was screened in...so the girls could go out there with no worries from me! the pool closest to us had zero entry, i think thats what you call it. again, another great feature for little ones. another pool had a slide that the 4 year old loved.
the only park we went to was the magic kingdom but it was only 10 minutes away, downtown disney even closer.
with you having kids that age, i would also recommend t-rex restaurant in downtown disney, our girls loved it and the food was great

Thanks for the response. I am also going to ask for a refurbished room in the falls section and hope that they will give it to me. Either way it will be a great vacation and I have heard it is a beautiful resort with lots to do all around. I have had this booked since Feburary! We do have dinner reservations at T-rex in DTD on Monday night and can't wait! My son will love it!

There are 2 sheraton vistana's. One is SV Resort and the other is SV Villages. Which one did you stay at?

we stayed at sheraton vistana resort.

We stayed a few years back and enjoyed the resort and our rooms very much. Had a great time visiting all the pools. We played an awesome game of volley ball with our group and individuals just joined at random. It was so lovely. We had some elderly woman that joined us that were a hoot. My kids thought it was so fun to play with so many grandmas. How cute is that!

The value of the extra space, especially separate bedrooms and living area will spoil you and you'll never want to put more than 2 people in a hotel room again.
