When I "won" The Peabody for us off Priceline for $75 per night for April 15-18th, I was so excited! We had visited this hotel just to see the ducks parade a couple times in the past, but never thought we'd get to stay there.
From the moment we arrived, things were PERFECT. Everyone could not have been nicer! They gave us a room in the new tower, which was awesome. There is a large round mirror in the bathroom with a built-in tv. It doesn't fog up. Also, when you get up in the middle of the night, there are nightlights on sensors that light up under furniture wherever you walk. The bed and pillows were sooooooooo comfy. Love the duck theme. From the cute little duck soap in the bathroom, to the ducks on the bathmat... ducks make all kinds of adorable appearances throughout the resort.
The red-carpet duck "parade" is a must-see. And even though this hotel is much closer to Universal and Seaworld, if you take 536, it's not that far from Disney either.
Can highly recommend this hotel, especially if you can score a deal like we did! :dance3:

I stayed there in 2003 for a conference, and I loved it. Since then it has been hard to find a hotel that has matched the service I recieved there!

how much was the parking fee and is self-parking available? My DH is going there on Thursday and is looking for answers.

Thanks for the review. Friends of ours stayed there at the same time..maybe you saw them, cute young couple who were very excited to be there! ;) They enjoyed their stay there as well and spent all of their time at Universal.

I can see why...it was truly awesome!

So you missed the big drug bust there. The resort itself did not have anything to do with it & was completely unaware it was going on.. but I do feel for any guests who had to witness this with young children...especially with a resort as nice as this place....that was the last thing they expected to see on their vacation!

Uh, you're right...we did miss that and I'm sure glad!

I would love to stay here. Looks like a lovely hotel :goodvibes

Hope you get the opportunity. We waited years before we got ours.

For a moment, I thought you meant us, then I realized that not only are we not young, but we're not cute either. I don't know if we saw them...there were cute people and cute ducks everywhere!

I wouldn't normally say this, but this hotel is worth $125 per night. Although I can always recommend the Priceline thing. I can tell you that the other 4-star options in that zone are good too, so even if you didn't get The Peabody, you might be happy, if you were to try bidding.
