I've heard a trip on Sea Worlds coaster during lovebug season ends with wiping dead bugs off your face and arms. Anyone had any issues on BTMRR?

We just got back from WDW Tuesday night. We went on BTMRR a few times and never had problems with the lovebugs on this ride. We saw more of them at the hotel then we did in the parks.

I was on BTMRR on Tuesday and didnt have any trouble...the Monorail stations seemed to be the worst

On Tuesday, lovebugs were the worst for us in the parking lot and on the tram. No problems on attractions.

ok being English, what are lovebugs please? Some kind of flying insect I guess? Thanks

Lovebugs are small black flies with a red thorax who begin to mate as soon as
they emerge for the year. The male and female join at the end of their thorax so they look like a "push - pull" fly. The female is larger and flies around dragging the male in tow. They are also known as honeymoon flies.

They do not bite or sting. But they are a nuisance to motorist's windshields. :furious:

They're usually only out around May and September, and I believe only in Florida or at least the southeast US

Jeez Louise, there are a lot of Love Bug posts today.

Love bugs have no shame. They are attracted to emmissions from autos, that's why you see more of them where there's exhaust fumes.

Enjoy.

We have a ton here in southern Lousiana too.

I saw HUGE swarms Monday and Tuesday while on the busses - between CSR and AK, and CSR and Epcot.
