As its valentines weekend I thought it ould be nice if we all told a romantic story !!
How did you first meet your other half??
Whats the most romantic thing that has ever happened to you??

Lets sprikle a bit of romance of teh boards for valentines :lovestruc:love:

What good idea....

I met my DH when I worked in a bar and he would come in for a drink with all his mates after five a side footie. He never pushed in or shouted his order and I thought he was georgous. I mentioned to my fellow barmaid how much I liked him and discretely pointed him out and she then said she used to babysit him and he would always have his clean pants & socks laid out for the following morning. Totally put me off and I decided no way was he my type! :confused3

A few weeks later after serving him (and blushing like mad) me and my friend were talking and I said how disappointed I was by what she had told me about the pants and socks story when she started laughing. She said not had not been talking about him - she'd been talking about his mate. Obviously my discrete pointing out had been a little too discrete!! The rest as they say is history!

Most romantic thing he's done is hard to say as he ALWAYS romantic. He sends me a romantic text every day and treats me like a princess :lovestruc:cloud9:

I met my DBF at a Red Hot Chili Peppers gig.
I was with my best friend and the crowd were mad. He was in front of us with his friends. In the end I got thrown over the barrier and had 3 cracked ribs, but I'd left my friend in the crowd. He brought her to come and find me. He walked me to the bus stop and made sure noone bumped into me the entire time.

3 and 1/2 years later we're still together.
The most romantic thing he's done is take me to Paris for my 21st

Met my DH 22 years ago. Not a very interesting story, but probably quite a common one.;)

Most romantic thing? Having my second DD on Valentine's Day - she will be 7 tomorrow.:lovestruc

I met DF through going watching our beloved Rugby League and both supporting St. Helens. I'd fancied him for ages, but he was with someone else, so we were just friends for a while.

They separated and we ended up together not long afterwards, 5 years ago in April this year.

Most romantic thing he's done...it's got to be my proposal :lovestruc Smack bang in the middle of Epcot as Illuminations finished, he had quite the crowd watching  I was very proud of him that evening, he made my year with those little words  It was an amazing moment!

My dp is a friend of my friends brothet, if you follow. We had always drank in the same pubs and company but never really talked until one weekend at a rally at the other side of the country! I was a week shy of 18 and he pretended I was his GF to get me into a pub. 7 years on we have two kiddies and are to be wed next year. As regards romance hes not into public displays but I will never forget the way he took care of me after giving birth to our youngest. He treated me like a queen and stayed up our 1st night home when james wouldnt settle even though he was in pain with 3 slipped discs. Hes everything to me and I love the bones of him.

I met my husband in my 1st week at uni when I was 18 (we were doing the same degree but he was a year above me) and we have been together ever since. The most romantic thing he has done was booking a surprise trip to Paris for Valentines day to stay in the hotel we stayed in on our honeymoon so we could have our valentines meal on a bateaux mouche on the River Seine.

I met my DBF at a Scouts and Guides society at university (SSAGO, in case anyone is interested!) and went on lots of socials where he fancied this other girl :-( After a couple more months, he helped fixed my computer, and here we are 3 years later!

Hes quite romantic anyway, but he bought me a bag of M&Ms with 'Tom & Steffi' and 'i love you' written in to them... Anyone who knows me, knows i LOVE M&Ms!

Happy Valentines Day! XX
