I tried to talk him into buying this one for himself:rolleyes1

ok so you get the idea...
so now, just 10 weeks before our longest Disney trip yet he informs me he's NOT doing hat pictures this time:faint:
my entire trip will be ruined:rolleyes: well maybe not ruined, but come on...but he says and I quote " I let you take those pictures for your viewing pleasure, not to make me look rediculous on DIS"
 so I pouted a little, ok more than a little:sad2: and when I get back from our trip I'll have lots more hat pics to post...I think;)

Today is our 10 week mark:woohoo: 70 days from today when I get home from work, we leave for the 7 hour drive to Disney ASMusic:cheer2:
It will be late (after midnight) when we get there, but I'm going to try to get some night pics of the resort since it's our only night there.
Then when we get up on Friday the 5th before we leave to check in the Contemporary I'm gonna get some day pics of the areas I wasn't able to get last December

I have always liked to take pictures...when I was in high school I used to take my little 110 camera with me, much to the dismay of my best friend:lmao:
then when I got married (2 weeks after high school):scared1: I took pictures everywhere we went...
when Stephanie was born I took literally thousands of pictures of her as she was growing up...
when Danny and I got together, Daniel was still a baby, and again I took lots, and lots, and lots:rolleyes1 of pictures. Danny used to ask me why I took so many:confused3 my reply was "someday you'll understand"
my theory was and is, even though we remember a lot from our past, we don't remember everything...until we sit down and look at old pictures... I guess that's why we call them 'memory makers'
and when we started going to WDW on our Honeymoon in 2003 I took lot's of picures... we didn't get our first digital camera until 2005:confused:
in Aug of 2004 we drove to California and had 2 35 mm cameras with us. Danny had black & white film in 1 and I had color film in the other.
We went to Disneyland since I was born just down the street from there and we visited my best friend there. We went to San Jose, Sacramento, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Bodie Ghost Town, Yosemite, & Sequoia National Parks, as well as Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and Grand Canyon on the way home. Between the 2 of us we took about 1200 pictures:scared1: Many of them were almost identical with the exception that 1 was color and one was black & white. We put them in the photo albumns side by side...anyways, last year in November I bought myself a new Digital Camera. It takes really nice night pics and has a decent zoom... but any time Danny wanted to use it I reluctantly gave it to him and used our older one from 2005:sad2:
now I have to admit BEFORE I found the DISboards I felt a little silly taking pictures of things that didn't have people included... but I did anyways, I just tried not to make it obvious:lmao:
well the DISboards put an end to all that:rotfl2: ...and the rest in history ;)

ok so this year Danny started talking about cameras the guys he works with at Talladega use to take pics with really great zooms... now we aren't talking SLR's, just your better than average point & shoot. so I bought him a Nikon Coolpix P80. so he took it to work with him and has been playing with it to get used to it. he took a couple pitures of the moon with it and you can litteraly see the craters in it... not sure how it is for night pics but we should be able to get some decent pictures of MK from the Contemporary room

this is a bit off topic, but kinda neat just the same... Danny is at Talladega this weekend for the Nascar race... He works there twice a year for the races on one of the crash trucks... while we were talking on the phone earlier he mentioned Dale Jr's race car and back-up car having 70,000 names on it this weekend...then I remembered we both entered to be on the car... so I went online and checked and we are both on it:woohoo:
the car has 73,000 names on it:scared1: mine is on the hood:woohoo: on the drivers side above the AMP logo:woohoo: Danny's is on the right rear panel behind the tire under the "R" in National Gua"R"d:cheer2:

Go Jr!

I've been looking over our itinerary and I'm hoping I haven't overdone it with the late nights:eek: we leave here Thursday Dec 4th after I get home from work:woohoo: so I'm hoping to be on the rode by 4pm, but 5pm is probably more practical:rolleyes1
I'ts about a 6 1/2 hour drive but I'm sure we will stop along the way to get a bite to eat, plus we lose an hour from Central time to Eastern time. So that put's us getting there sometime after midnite. The first nite we are staying at ASMusicand we don't have to get up super early, but I do want to take some pictures of the resort before we leave..
then we check in at Contemporary:woohoo: for 2 nights... hopefully our room will be ready, but I realize that's not likely so early in the day. We are going to EPCOT for lunch at Biergarten @ 2:40. We are both looking forward to this meal...EPCOT has EMH this night so we plan to stay late, but I'm thinking that we may go back to the resort for a bit first and rest... we were going to try to go on an illuminations cruise this night but decided not to. I had planned for us to eat at Big River Grille this night but I am having second thoughts about this too:rolleyes1 I'm guessing we will eat whenever we get hungry ....

so I'm guessing we will be up fairly late Friday night. Saturday morning is the 6th and the taping of the Christmas Parade:santa: so will are staying away from MK this morning:scared1: been there, done that in 2005....never again:headache: we went to the Friday taping in 2005 and stood in front of the castle while Brian Setzer of the Stray Cats sang Jingle bells, over and over and over and well you get the picture... After about 2 and 1/2 hours of hearing him say, "he's dashing" we couldn't take it any more and went to ride some rides:lmao:
So I have picked this day to Resort hop to take pictures of Christmas displays:woohoo:
We will go to Grand Floridian (never been there), then to Wilderness Lodge; we stayed there last year in Dec but I still want more pics... then off to Coranado Springs Resort... though we have stayed there in the past and it is one of our favorite resorts, we have never been there in Dec and I have seen some awesome pics here on the boards, and want to see it for myself at Christmas time:santa:

so while we are resort hopping, we will have an early lunch and go back to the room, maybe wander around the resort and take some more pics... we have an ADR at CRT at 5:15:woohoo: can't wait to see inside the Castle! after dinner we will go back to the room to watch the fireworks from our balcony:hug:

MK is open til midnight this night so maybe we will go back over and ride a few more rides, and of course take more pics

but then again....the Cowboys are on ABC this night so I may not be able to get Danny out of the room for any reason

Sunday Dec 7th...we get to sleep in a bit this day, then we check out:sad2: and go to OKW for 5 nights:cheer2: gonna have bell services transfer our luggage (good thing I budgeted extra tip money for this trip):lmao:
after we check in at OKW it's off to DHS for the day:woohoo:
we have a dinner ADR @ 5:40 @ 50's Prime Time so we should have plenty of time for some rides and pics...at this point we will be on the dining plan...we will probably try to catch one of the fantasmic shows and definatly plan to do the Osborne Lights:cool2: DHS has EMH this night so we will be there til 11

Monday Dec 8th...we are doing the Keys To The Kingdom Tour this day so we have to be up and at the MK early. This will be our first ever tour at WDW:woohoo: we get lunch on the tour at Columbia Harbor House and after the tour we will head back to the room for a bit...Dinner is at Chef Mickey's and then off to MK for EMH...another late night:eek: but we don't have to get up early Tuesday;)

Good thing we get to sleep in a bit on this day...Tues Dec 9th going to EPCOT and lunch is at Le Cellier @ 1:05:woohoo: a couple of Danny's buddies from the firehouse have told him we need to eat here, and firefighters are usually pretty good judges of food:rotfl2: ... we are doing MVMCP this night:santa: and are planning a meet with some of the others DISers who will also be there the same night:santa: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1944667

After another late night we have to be up early to get to the MK by 7:15:scared1: for The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour...we're going to drive from OKW and park at CR for the tour, then depending on what time we get done we will either drive back to OKW and take the bus to EPCOT for lunch at Coral Reef:fish: :fish: :fish: then off to Animal Kingdom for the remainder of the day and EMH...even with the EMH they close at 8 so it won't be too late this night and nothing at all scheduled for Thursday morning

today at work I was telling a customer how I put all my change into my "Disney" fund...so we talked about it for a few minutes telling her about our 11 night stay and all the resort hopping we will be doing:eek: so after a few minutes she asked "so how old are your kids?" I said well my daughter is 23 and Danny's son will be 8 next week.. she said well thay should have a really god time..I said nope, this trip is just danny and me...silence...then finally she said, way to go, now that's the way to take a vacation:rotfl2: I think she thought I was nuts:rolleyes: seems like some people just don't get it:lmao:

Cool trip report....I cannot wait for the day when DH and I can go without our kiddos....It is getting close but my 3 yr old is just not ready to be away from her parents more then over night at this point.....I am subbing to you PTR cause it want to see what you have to say about DW during the Christmas season...It has been a long time since we have gone for Christmas....It might just put me in the mood for a Christmas Trip!!!

Hey baby..........how are ya?:firefight

I think I see you more on here than I do at home anymore...at least in december I'll have you all to myself (well kinda, if you don'y count the thousands of others at Disney):rotfl2:

I know what you mean...lol I have a PTR and not many people have responded to it...at times makes me feel a little discouraged to complete it...Oh well...It does help my not to talk about our trip all the time to DH..:confused3
