I googled pictures for love bug and they look disgusting, but thats coming from me an official bug hater....

when do they come out?? ewww.....

I don't like bugs either. I was there last September and while they were there, they didn't bother me AT ALL. It wasn't a big deal, and not anything I would worry about. :goodvibes

Come and live in England - we don't have love bugs or for that matter many bugs at all - the reason is it's too cold!! :rotfl2:

Only saw love bugs at BB last May (end of) they drove me mad :thumbsup2

ITA. DD doesn't like bugs either, but she was very curious why they were stuck together. ;)

As long as its "love bugs" and not "bed bugs"..

We can handle love bugs! All the talk lately on the tv, with hotels having bed bugs gives me the creeps!

Love bugs aren't too too bad. They aren't nearly as yucky looking in person (mostly cause they aren't enlarged all huge) :) They do make a mess of your car, though. :crazy2:

I can see why you are disgusted!! I googled them also and I agree with you, however they are not that bad. I have been in September many times and only once was it really bad. We were by the Port Orleans pool and the whole place was swarming with them. They were gone by later that evening though. The Google pictures are huge and make them look worse than they are!!

Love bugs are a pain for those of us who live down here. The problem is that they will coat the front of your car, and if you don't wash them off right away they will ruin the finish on your car.

And if you ever look at them you will see why they are called "love bugs." (They have no shame.)

Enjoy.

We have been to Disney twice in Sept., one year they were awful and one year they were non existant. That first year they clung to every surface. We stayed at Boardwalk and they were COVERING every bench  and the entire door to the Mercantile. We are not bug lovers either. They were harmless, but as we were traveling with an infant, it was disgusting when they landed on DS. Second trip was right between 2 hurricanes/storms and maybe that explains why they weren't out.

When we were there on year they were out. We would just kinda move around them when walking through the parks.

so i am going in june (2nd week) what are my chances of having an unfortunate run in with them?

We were there last Sept. and I was pretty worried about the love bugs being terrible at that time of year - I HATE bugs too, and someone had posted that enlarged photo of one - GROSS! :sad2: But, we really didn't have any problems with them at WDW, except one morning while we were waiting for the bus at ASMu. My son kept yelling "Hey, mom, look at those cool two-headed bugs!" I got lots of smiles from others waiting in line - LOL!!! :lmao: We did see a lot more of them when we stayed at a hotel in Orlando (outside WDW). Overall, I wouldn't worry about it too much!
