Hey!!!
I just noticed that you are also from Canada!
What are your wedding details?
We are being married Oct 11/04 at The Swan-outdoor reception to follow!
Do you also belong to the disneymooners yahoo group?

Louisaho,

If you're getting married in Canada first then you're going to need to look at the logistics of "getting married" again in the US. Please discuss this with whatever coordinator you're using, and make sure he/she knows that you will already be married at the time. Because technically, you can't get married twice. Well you can, but you have to be divorced in between - what I mean is that you can't get married if you're already married. If you're already married then they can't issue a marriage certificate to you in the US, it wouldn't be valid.

What you would instead be doing is a vow renewal.

Also, when booking your flights, please don't book your flight in your married name (if you're taking your husband's last name). The name on your ticket has to match the name on your ID, and it will take several weeks to have your ID changed over to your married name.

There have been way too many problems at the airport due to brides trying to travel using their married names when they don't have ID to match.

No we are just getting married down there-speak with your coordinator about the details of this-I know there have been other brides in this situation as well-so it is not unheard of!
Your wedding will be lovely! I also don't have that many guests coming but I am not concerned about that-to me this is more about marrying my fh and celebrating in a place that means so much to both of us!
I agree a MK reception would be fantastic-but in reality we would never have that kind of money-epecially with the exhange rate!

thanks
i already discussed with my wedding EM. since i really want to have a church ceremony as well.
we tried to convince orlando church to accept us, but failed, as we are not local ppl. so we have no choice but to use local church in canada.
EM said she has no problem , technically it is Vow Renewal, but she will not let anyone to know it (i mean my guest), as most of my guests won't attend my church wedding, only parents.
disney is actually quite flexible in this, which i am really surprised. i guess they also understand that some brides really want to get amrried in a real church, just like me
