I think arriving at the airport by 5:30 is sufficient. I would even plan a little later for myself, but if you are not comfortable with the whole process it's probably better for you to go earlier.
. No I have not used curbside check in at the Smith Terminal since NWA moved out. I have used it at the McNamara terminal though.
FYE I just got an email from Spirit for our November flight and they changed our return flight time from 2:40pm to 7:40pm! I went on the Spirit website and it look's like they dropped the 2:40pm flight from MCO altogether. I know they are limited to how many gates they can use at DTW (thanks to Ed McNamara and NWA) and they are trying to get into the New York market, so maybe they had to drop one of their routes.
Well now I have to come up with some ideas on what to do after we disembark from our cruise
