We are leaving for WDW in less than 24 hours and I called reservations just to make sure my DME was on my reservation (i have already got my luggage tags and all that already from them), the cm said that it was not and i would have to call DME directly to let them know what flight and all that stuff. Ok, so now i am freaking out. Scared they will not get luggage. Considering on cab drive instead. Help!!! :faint: Has anyone had this happen before. :scared:

Try at least once more to call ME directly, hot line number: toll free 866-599-0951, to give them your flight information.

Bring with you at least any one of the following:

Book or stubs that the yellow tags came out of, or

An unused yellow tag, or

Brochure that came with your ME tags, or

Name of someone you talked to on the phone regarding ME, or

Confirmation from Disney or your travel agency showing ME being booked.

When you get to the Magical Express area at Orlando Int'l Airport you will then have no problems getting on.

Optional: Don't put yellow tags on your baggage and retrieve it from the Orlando carousels yourself. Hand carry it to the ME welcoming area instead of the taxi stand.

If you do use the yellow tags, do bring the booket or stubs.

If you got your ME tags and they have the correct information on them (resort), then you are fine. I would call to ease your mind, but if the tags are on your bags and they are correct, they will appear at your resort. If you look closely at the tags, they have your confirmation number on them, so if all checks out, things will be ok.

Have a wonderful trip! I am enroute in 19 days!

Hey Allen...nice photo!!

dis mom.....when you say you already have your luggage tags, do you mean the yellow ones that come in the DME packet? If so, then DME does in fact have you in their system. If you are at all concerned, call them directly. Their number should be in the packet of info you got.

Yes i have the yellow tags. But when called and checked to make sure everything was in order, they did not have my flight info on file. I have called back just now and the say they have my info correct. Just got real worried. This is our first trip to WDW with our 5 year old ds and I want everything just perfect. Thanks for all the sugestions.

Have a terrific trip...hope your little one has a most magical time!!!

we were switched from united to us air and then moved us up 2 hours so i was a nervous wreck..when i called them they said as long as they have the # of people and the luggage tags were attached, fine.. when you get there they ask for the tickets attached to the packet, and then you stand in line with everyone else and you wait for busses to your resort, it's not like they are waiting for you personally, when our resort line got filled up with people THEN they called for a bus for us...so don't worry

All that matters is that you DO have a reservation. And as many have said before me, the fact that you received your personalized, pre-printed DME luggage tags is proof that you have a reservation. Disney doesn't print these up for all guests, they are printed ONLY for guests who have DME reservations.

Also, as noted above, they really don't care about your flight number or arrival time. They gather that info so that they have a pretty good idea of how many people will need a bus (and luggage delivery) to which resorts at around which times. But it's not like they're sitting there waiting for you specifically, or if you showed up early or late that you would not be accommodated.

All bags with DME tags get pulled from the usual luggage stream. They get scanned several times during their journey. Meanwhile, you will check in at the DME Welcome Center. The computer will reconcile the fact that you checked in, AND that you have luggage in the system. Everything will be great from that point on. At the Welcome Center, they'll even ask you how many suitcases you checked and tagged, so they make sure they have all of your bags and not just some of them.

Hopefully, all of the info in this thread will assure you that you truly have nothing to worry about.

Have a magical trip!

Just back from our 1st WDW trip. It was awesome. DME was great. We had no problems at all. Would suggest it to future travelers. Wonderful not having to get luggage and all that when we got there. Hope everyone else has a good experience with DME.
