I know this is a very long shot, but we went to Epcot last Wednesday August 12 and my daughter brought her favorite stuffed animal, it was a small Bischon Frise white dog. She has had it since she was born and has cried every day since. When she realized it was not with her in Mexico, she nearly fainted!

If perhaps you or someone you know were there and picked it up, please send me an email at awonderfulthought@yahoo.com. We will gladly cover the cost of shipping and a reward.

I greatly appreciate you reading this.

Sincerely,

Jo-Ann

Are you still calling lost and found, it may show up a little later if she stuck it in an out of the way spot.

Good-luck! My brother had a dog he brought everywhere, and I remember my mom's panic when he left it in the bank, the library, etc. I hope that your story has a happy ending!

Another thought is if you could post a photo of the dog, perhaps someone has a replacement - I realize it's not exactly the same but I've seen other DIS'ers do that and it's amazing what people come through with!

can't help I'm afraid but wish you luck in finding it. My dd has a bear and if we lost that it would be the end of the world

I really hope you find it! As a mom with a DS in love with a teddy I know who hard it can be to lose a lovey! - we recently found our beloved "JoJo" after 3 weeks of him missing.

Good Luck!!!!!!

So sorry to hear about the lost special dog.

Keep checking with Disney. I was once told that lost items are collected and held at each park for awhile before going to central lost and found. See if you can call Epcot directly.

Maybe someone here can help you with another one.

When my kids were small, they each had one very special bear, and still do even though the kids are twentysomethings. Many years ago I purchased extra bears and they have been hidden in my closet for more than 20 years.

Last year DD was going through a rough patch in life and became separated from her special bear when she came home for awhile. She was so sad when she realized bear was left in another state. I dug duplicate bear out of the closet. He didn't look exactly like her well-loved bear, but he sure helped her to feel better, and we had a good laugh. She returned him to my closet just in case for the future. She said, she didn't want the bears to meet because it would disrupt the time-space continuum. :lmao:

So parents, if your child has a special lovey buy an extra one now and save it.

:rotfl::rotfl: Hilarious!

OP: I, too, know what that's like -- definitely try calling and then call again! Good luck in the search -- I hope the pup turns up!

So sorry to hear that your little girl lost her dog. Check out Ebay sometimes people have replicas of stuffed animals. My son has a doggie, its a Carters Fire Dog and I've been thinking about buying an extra just in case. I hope someone finds your little girls lovey and returns it to you.

Do keep checking. About a week after we got back I got a box containing my daughter's "baby" and I was so surprised. I filled out a lost card at our resort, not sure if we left it in a park, the room or the kid's club.

I agree with checking with Lost & Found daily. Hopefully he turns up! Food luck! :goodvibes

I agree with lindsmom, post a photo if you can. My DD's are overrun with stuffed animals. If they have one like it, I would be more than happy to ship it to you:thumbsup2. I could even add a note from Mickey:wizard:, saying something like thank you for letting your little dog stay with me for a while, but he missed you and was ready to come home, or something like that, to make her feel better.
I so hope you find her lovey. I know how it can be, we misplaced DD(7)'s blanket (thick fuzzy Blues Clues baby blanket), when she was about 4 at the mall one day, she had a complete meltdown:scared1:. I looked franticly in a few stores, and then just decided to take her to the car to try to get her to calm down. Luckily when we opened the car door, there it was, she had been excited about something, and accidently left it in the car. We were both relieved:woohoo:. She packed that thing around everywhere even in 100 degree weather until she started school. We told her that she couldn't take it with her. So she finally started leaving it at home, but she still has to sleep with it every night. She just gets annoyed with it now because it only covers her from her neck to her knees. She would die if anything ever happened to it. We tease her and tell her Mom's going to have to pack it for her when she leaves for Collage. She just looks at me and says, "Well Yeah!".:rotfl:

Don't laugh so quickly :) My niece who graduated from college last year still uses her baby blanket - really! Allegedly her roomates from school had pictures of her passed out, snuggling her blanket.

Sorry to OP for straying from topic, but just wanted to share. haha...

Oh how I feel your pain! DS has 2 loveys; a blanket and a one of a kind camel. I once spent 3 hours searching Walmart for the stuffed camel. Thankfully he was sent to lost and found! :worship: After that we learned that camel cannot leave the house. The blanket, on the other hand travels freely. It is a run of the mill baby blanket and we have 3! :lmao: I rotate them out so they are all worn pretty evenly and all have that "unique" smell. :crazy2:

One thing that we did for WDW was to write our name and cell number on the blanket's tag. That way if it got lost hopefully the finder would call us.

Good Luck OP...post a picture of that puppy!

DS lost his "Puffalump" and they had discontinued making them:scared1:. I went on e-Bay and had one within a few days. DD's lovey got really ratty...again, discontinued, so got another on e-Bay. My last one has a "Sleepy Bear" lovey and I am searching for one (yep, discontinued - what is it with my kids and their discontinued loveys????). So, point is, check e-Bay. You'll be surprised at what you can find.

I do hope the original turns up. It's like losing your own child, isn't it?! So upsetting! Good luck!

You have my sympathy, too. My DD left her 'blankie' in a hotel room after our vacation last year, and we realized it not long after we left. We called and even had a family member who was still in that town go back and check. We never got it back, and I don't know who had a harder time with the loss--her or me!! :sad1: I really hope yours turns up!

My son has a Pooh hand puppet he carries everywhere, one night he "lost" his puppet somewhere in our house, we searched everywhere, I did a search on Ebay and found an auction that had 2 of the same puppet, I planned to give him one and hide the other in case he "lost" another, well my son loves to hide things and he is usually the only one who will find them, 3 months after the first went missing he walked into my daughter closet and proceeded to uncover his first missing Pooh, he had tucked it in a blanket at the bottom of her closet, now he has 2 pooh bears and often wears them like gloves :rotfl2: but I totally understand, he drove us crazy every night until I got the replacement and Ebay is a great place especially if you know the maker/brand good luck

My daughter lost her favourite Stitch teddy at DisneyLand Paris in October 2005 when she was 7- even now, nearly 4 years later she still crys about him and has a framed picture of her and treasured Stitch next to her bed.

We did buy one off ebay to replace it but she knew it was not hers, she is so emotional about it -

Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten

She often quotes this :( I could cry for her some days!

She loves Stitch - I do hope you find the missing toy, I know the trauma we have endured!

I was once in your daughters shoes. I lost my first stuffed pig that I ever got! I hope you find your stuffed animal because mine never showed up. I will never get over that pig.

It's these sad stories of lost 'friends' that make me feel better that I was the mean mommy that wouldn't let my kids take their most precious 'friends' into the parks with us on our WDW trips. The stuffed animals had to be placed in a chair in the room before we left. I didn't even let them leave them on the bed, for fear that mousekeeping would get them mixed up in the sheets and they'd be sent off to the laundry.

The positive side of having to leave the stuffed animals in the room is that sometimes mousekeeping would pose them in silly positions (once Izzy Bear was on the toilet, LOL!) for the girls to find on our way back to the room.

OP, keep calling Lost and Found - and I'm sending pixie dust and positive vibes that your daughter gets a box in the mail with her lost friend in it!

PS - I thank/curse Toy Story II for making me so vigilant about my kids' 'friends'. That "When She Loved Me" song/scene kills me every time I see it. When it's on TV I have to shut it off at that point, or leave the room, LOL!
