Does anyone know if Disney will replace a lost gift card if I still have the number from the back? I didn't get it through Disney, so I'm not sure if they can help. I'd like to use the balance on-site though, instead of online if possible.
I was able to replace a lost one, but I had the receipt. The clerk told me that had I not had it, there would be nothing they could do. It would be too easy for someone to copy down your gift card # and have it re-issued to them.
Can't hurt to try, but I'm thinking it might be tough.

Your Disney Gift Card will be 'frozen' and funds remaining on the card (at the time of the call) can be transferred onto a new card. An original proof of purchase receipt for the Disney Gift Card is required to transfer the funds onto a new Disney Gift Card."

If you have the number and the pin code then you can use it to buy tickets online. Or pay for your room or package online. Or by phone. Without the pin number your out of luck. I agree with the pp. They will not reissue a gift card without the receipt. So your best chance of being able to spend the remaining funds is to do it by phone or online. Good luck.
