In anticipation of Season 6?? :happytv:

Yesterday DH and DS bought Season 5 (DS has never seen it, so wanted to watch before Season 6 starts next month), and since I'm stuck on the couch today I'm rewatching it too. This was such a great season, I think my favorite so far! :thumbsup2

Also, is there a NON-SPOILER thread for Season 6 yet?? I see the Spoiler thread out there already... :surfweb:

Back in August, I decided to rewatch the entire show from the beginning over the next few months. There just seemed to be so much I'd forgotten. By the time season 5 came out in December, I was all caught up. I think season 5 is my favorite so far, as well. :thumbsup2

I just received Season 5 for Christmas! DH and I are going to start rewatching the episodes this week!! I am looking forward to February, but also sad at the same time because this will be the last season.

I rewatch and rewatch and rewatch. Its really sick actually. There is a sweepstakes on abc.com where you can be the first to see the first 6 min of the first ep of Lost 6.

DH, DD and I just finished it. I may go back and watch some again. :goodvibes

I did that too! People thought I was crazy, but I had forgotten so much that seemed to be unimportant at the time. I watched seasons 1-4 last summer/fall and just finished Season 5. I can't wait for Season 6!

I'm rewatching it now too. I actually like it better then I did the first time through.

Thanks for posting this! I was just getting ready to post my own thread about the Season 5 DVD. We just finished watching "Le Fleur" last night, and I'm really enjoying it!:thumbsup2

I think what's going to be really interesting about watching Season 5 is (this might be a spoiler to people who haven't seen Season 5 yet so I'm putting it in white)

watching the after-flight-316-crashes "Locke" interact with everyone on the island, now that we know that it's not really Locke but Jacob's nemesis.

Oh, can I ask a question about something I didn't understand now that we're re-watching Season 5? Again, since I'm not sure if this is a spoiler thread or not, I'm going to put it in white; if you don't want to answer here in the thread, could you pm me please?

Remember how Desmond didn't have the memory of Daniel banging on the hatch door until the Losties were time-flashing and Daniel actually did it? That part I understand. But right before Charlotte died, she remembered "a crazy-looking man" (Daniel) telling her not to come back to the island? How could she "remember" that when the Losties haven't ended up in 1974/1977 yet and Daniel hasn't talked to her yet? That doesn't make sense.

I missed almost the entire season 5. I need to watch it. Are the episodes online?

I believe the episodes are still on line!

I think that asking questions pertaining to Season 5 would be ok, because it's about the fact that we're RE-watching. ::yes:: I will add "Possible Spoilers" to the title, just to be safe. :)

Amy: Regarding your two "spoiler" questions, I agree on both counts!! I think that a person could watch Lost several times and still see something new each time!

Good point, and I wonder what the writers would have to say!! :confused3 As I re-watch Season 5, I'm going to try and see if there's an explanation for this.

I can't wait for Season 6 to air, because Damon and Carlton have said that everything will be explained and there won't be any loose threads. They've got a lot of explaining to do!:lmao:

And as I told my family just last night, once Lost is finally over, I want to re-watch all 6 seasons once we know how everything turns out and is explained. I'm sure there will be a lot of "so THAT's why he/she did that"!;)

This is what I think about it, not sure if it's right though...

Even though Daniel hadn't warned her yet because he had not flashed back to 1974/7 yet, Charlotte had already "lived" it which is why she remembered it. A similar situation happened when Sayid shot Ben -- for Ben it happened before the crash of flight 815, but for Sayid it happened after.

I agree with what you think.

I also think it's interesting to watch because of Locke, plus the general, everything I missed the first time, which was especially true this season, since even though I saw every episode I was always very distracted when it was on.

Do you have Netflix? You can watch the whole series instantly. Even though I have all the DVDs I find myself watching it on Netflix since it's easier.

But that doesn't jive with the Desmond situation: Desmond had already lived thru whatever year it was when Daniel flashed back and pounded on the hatch, but Desmond did NOT remember it until years later when Daniel and the Losties flashed back and Daniel actually DID pound on the hatch.

So even though Charlotte had already lived thru 1974/1977, Daniel didn't talk to her until 2006/2007 (or whatever year it was after the crash) when the Losties started all the flashing-back. So she couldn't "remember" it from her past because it hadn't happened yet (even though it happened in 1974/1977).

Does that make sense? Does anything on this show make sense?:lmao:

No.

Something else I thought of though, Swayer and Juliet saved Amy from the others, if they hadn't wouldn't she have been killed, and therefore not married Horace, gotten pregnant, and given birth to Ethan?

If they hadn't saved her, would Ethan have ever been born?

Ok, I just re-rewatched the opening episode of Season 5 via the "Bonus Material" and it had the writers commenting on what was happening in the episode but they were also commenting on ALL of Season 5, and they said something that I didn't quite realize while watching Season 5 the first time; they said that Daniel kept saying over and over "What happened, happened" and that since we, the viewers, take his word on everything since he's the scientific mind on the show, we believe him. And in the beginning of Season 5 Daniel firmly believes that what happened, happened. Period. But by the end of Season 5 (and this is what I didn't realize until I heard the writers say it just now), is that Daniel is wrong, and slowly realizes it. He realizes that you CAN go back and affect the outcome of a situation.

So....maybe this explains a little of the inconsistencies?? I don't know, I'm just along for the ride. :lmao:
