lost and found things

ok so ive been reading about the lost cam and fill bad but its making me think about lableing some of our things.
if things are took to the lost and found but has the addy on it will they send it back to us?
i found some lables with our addy on them my mother in laws name on them not mine but hay still would get back to us.
im just about to buy a new cam and stuff so i want to be safe.
do you think they would still work

It would be better than NOT labeling your things!

When you go to L&F they have you fill out a detailed report, with your name address and phone number, so that if something is found and can be identified as yours, they'll send it back. Putting a label on your stuff makes it that much easier.

ok kool i was just wondering see there the mail lables dh's mom has with our addy on them i use them for my bills and stuff lol so even tho it has her name on them it will at least get back to us.
Its just an extra percoution i hope we dont lose anything. last time we almost lost our phone
it was in the matohorn car, a cm found it or some one and it was at lost and found.
then he went back to matohorn and told them it was found. they really apreciated it so they didnt have to keep looking. we were lucky.

I have a lable maker and have labled all my stuff with my last name and cell number.
JadeDarkstar if you would like I can do some lables for you and put them in the backpack that I'm going to be sending you. Just PM what you would like on it and how many.

I would recommend some sort of phone or email address so that you can be contacted immediately. With just your street address, it will take longer for you to know someone found it. Still, anything is better than nothing.

I stuck one of my return address labels on my stuff, and I wrote around the edges, Grand Californian 3/23-3/27 (or whatever it was) and my cell number. I stuck them on my camera, kids' DS players, and my cell phone (that one had DH's cell # on it). Happily, we never lost anything, though.

I wouldn't label anything. You are just going to inconvenience the person who stole your camera. He is going to have to take time peeling off your sticker before he takes it down to the pawn shop!

If, after a few months, it hasn't been claimed, anything that isn't of a personal nature (Credit Cards, Pictures, etc.), or of unsanitary or inproper nature (er...I'll leave that to you to imagine), is actually sold to CMs at rock-bottom prices at this huge sale, held biannually, benefiting the Goodwill Industries of Orange County.
