Hello fellow DISers!!!

Welcome to my pre trip report :thumbsup2 This will be my first pre trip report for a WDW trip where someone else is going. :thumbsup2 I've been heading to WDW for about 4 years now. Yes I know impressive...;) I've always gone solo but well now there is a BF in the picture and he loves Disney too. :yay: In March 2014, we will be headed to the world over spring break to celebrate our 2 year dating anniversary. To prepare for this trip, he and I will be slimming down and saving dough to have a fabulous trip to the world.

Coming up...some photos and more background on this fabulous trip. Grab your snacks popcorn:: and hold on :car: this trip report is about to get real.
TTFN :wave2:

Great fun planning this and wishing yo all luck with the weight loss journey....what a good reason to do so an with someone makes it easier.

Joining in for the fun planning and prep and celebrations

Yay, I love weight loss ones!

I'm currently doing weight loss stuff right now (more prepping for doing the Princess Half, but it's also a semi-weightloss journey, haha).

I reccommend running for weight loss. =D But that's a personal bias at this point.:rotfl:

Also, I have a cookbook I bought on a whim last summer, and it's been the BEST thing for our budget (AND my weight!).

http://www.amazon.com/The-Meal-Heal...r=8-1&keywords=the+$7+a+meal+healthy+cookbook
We can buy a weeks worth of dinner stuff for under $50 (and we pick the cheaper ones, so usually it's under $40), and then since it's just the 2 of us (well, 2 plus the 1 year old, who doesn't eat much, lol!), there's lots of leftovers from the dinners, and my husband takes the leftovers for lunch the next day, so we're saving money on him not having to buy lunch stuff now!

Thanks for swinging by and sharing the tips!!!:cool1::cheer2:

Ever start a pre-trip report and then not really write one....ugggg. :confused3 Well if procrastination was an Olympic sport I might medal. :scratchin

Since my last post things have takin' off in the trip planning. Bf and I spent quite a bit of time looking at different resorts and offsite hotels. We have decided to stay four nights at Coronado and use my two night voucher for AKL.

Introductions I promised and here they are....

I'm Amy. I teach junior high resource math and love Disney. Harry Potter is the reason I went to WDW as its a bit far from my home. When HP park phase one opened I had to go and since WDW is so close I decided to go there too. Since then I've visited WDW and US every year.

DBF is Jeff. He works for the family business, a speakers bureau. He loves Disney too. He went to Disneyland every year as a child with his family. He inherited a love of Disney from his dad. This will be his first WDW trip.

Here are some ride photos from our many Disneyland trips....all of these are poses...I never really scream on screaming anymore well at least not in front of the camera :lmao:

Oh boy...it's been a rough two days....I'm dreaming about ice cream, candy and all kinds of bad stuffpopcorn:: I've lost 3 pounds and Jeff is down 2. My 3 are mostly because I got really sick on day 1 and had a stomach bug or food poisoning but hey 3 pounds is 3 pounds. I cooked all my healthy snacks and am prepared for my meal plan. Today we went to a local produce location and scored tons of deals. Lettuce and celery 3 for a dollar, grapes 59 cents a pound, oranges 2 pound bag for 1.50 and mini watermelons for 89 cents. :thumbsup2 Then we had a nice dinner at the deli (salad bar and diet coke).:cloud9:

On the money front... things are going really well I have 1500 dollars in our fund and that is almost enough to cover our expenses. I have our rooms booked at AKL and CSR. Now I just need to get his ticket purchased and get some better deals on flights.

Come on Southwest...I need a good deal pronto :worship: Anybody listenting out there???:listen:

Tomorrow I begin walking and jogging again and we head to a hockey game while on a diet...

Yeah for the 3 pounds - gotta start somewhere right?

Love the fun posed photos and look forward to hearing more.
Have you made any ADR's yet? I know food is an ugly word right now at time,s but eating at Disney all gets burned off with the walking you do...I actually weighed myself before and after - lost 2 pounds while there!!!!

Welcome :wave2: I haven't booked my ADRs just yet as I am finalizing which parks we are going to on which days. That was going to be one of my projects for this week. I'd love to lose 2 pounds at Disney.

Count me in!! Good luck on the weight loss..

Welcome :wave2:

So yesterday we went to hockey. I had done well with my diet until we got there. We went to the yardhouse which is our usual stop before a game and got carried away. We shared an order of sliders and chicken strips. He had wings too. Jeff reports he is down 7 pounds and I'm still holding at 3. I have to go back to work tomorrow after a 2 week break for the holidays. That should help with dieting as I will be so busy there won't be time to eat. :bitelip:

On the Disney front...we have our rooms booked and linked to DME. This week I need to book our ADRs, FP+ and ME. I still need to find some flight deals otherwise we are going to be paying 500 or more roundtrip a person. :furious:

Today's agenda....laundry, some household chores and CVS shopping.

Any recommendations for ADRs...I'm all ears :listen:

Well the first week back to school is over and I survived. I felt like a zombie many of those days but I pushed through the pain. On the diet front things haven't really taken off. I'm still down just 3 pounds but Jeff is down 11 pounds. :thumbsup2

On the trip front, still no deals for flights and I's starting to stress.:worried: I really don't want to pay 1000 dollars for 2 flights but that's the price right now. :confused3 We are less than 60 days out and our fastpass plus window has opened. I really like being able to book them ahead of time so we don't have to run back and forth but the limit of three stinks. :furious: At DLR we would pull 10 or more a day so this is going to be quite a change.
We have decided to use morning extra hours at AK park and MK park. We are considering it for EPCOT as well but we will just visit DHS on a low crowd day. We will not be park hopping so our plan is to rise early and hit the parks hard for 2-4 hours then take a break and head back in the evening for shows and FP+.

Here's hoping the flight prices drop and my weight does too this week :worship:

Fingers crossed for rate and weight drops!!!!

Following along!!! Good luck with the weight loss. Walking is an amazing thing if you can do it daily for 45 minutes to an hour.

Thanks for the wishing...I'm going to need all the help I can get!

I'm hoping it will help with weight loss and getting fit for all that Disney walking.

Well I managed to get in two walks this week so far which is isn't great but it's a start. I'm down 1 more pound and Jeff is down 6 more. I have a three day weekend which I'm going to use to get back on track with my eating and fitness plan. I'm cooking up beans and brown rice for the week and prepping all my veggies. I am also rediscovering the app losing it which lets me track my calories and weight loss over time. :cool1:

On the trip front, still no flight deals out there. I did find that have 15000 miles on us air. I usually don't fly them so it was a nice surprise. I was hoping it would pay for one leg of my flight which would save us about 200 dollars. :thumbsup2

I sold two more books on half and they were expensive ones :cool1: so more money for the trip. I'm planning to list most of my old teaching stuff from my elementary days online. That's the plan anyway. :hyper:

down another pound :cool1::cool1: this week is off to a great start...I'm already down one pound and it's only Monday. ;)

Well I'm down another pound and feeling good about the weight loss.

No deals on flights still so that's a bummer. I've been checking everyday and am hoping this is the week for a deal. Fingers crossed

I called US Scareways and they do not let you book one way trips with miles. Well actually they do but it costs the same as a round trip ticket (25000 miles). LAME :confused3 Flights still remain super pricey. My mom said well just book the flight you want then you can get then when you want and don't worry about the prices. I wish I could. Hit up the mega sale at Fry's today and got 7 bags of brown rice for free. :cool1: I got some other goodies as well. I love a mega sale. :woohoo:

On the weight loss front...Jeff is down 18 pounds and I am down 10. Not too shabby for one month. :thumbsup2

Off to meal plan and cook up my healthy eats :thumbsup2

Well I found a flight deal through last minute travel club...not totally in love with the flight times but they are acceptable and save us almost 200 a person. :cool1:Now I have to decide if I want to forgo my beloved SW for this deal :scratchin
