LOS Pass and switching resorts

Our upcoming July visit will be for 4 nights split between two nights each at two resorts. We arrive late the first night so won't be going to the parks and leave early the last day so won't be going to the parks, thus will have 3 days in the parks. My question is, if I buy a LOS pass at the first resort this will be good for the day I arrive the middle day and the day I leave the first resort, which will be the day I check into the second resort. But I don't need the day I arrive but will need 1 day after I check into the second resort. To get to the point, will I be able to buy a 3 day LOS pass for days 2,3 and 4 even though days 1, 2 and 3 will be at one resort and days 3, 4 and 5 will be at another resort? In other words can I shift my 3 day LOS pass at the first resort to start the day after I get there instead of the day I get there? I hope this makes sense ? ? ?

The literature states that "sometimes" you can drop either the first or last day.So you probably can drop the first day at resort #1 and the last day at #2. I know you need two different LOS passes.
Good Luck!

You can drop the first day or the last day of a LOS pass, that should take care of your biggest problem. Most have been allowed to drop both the first and last day but others have not. The rub here is that for LOS passes, WDW considers them to be one stay if consecutive nights even if different resorts. The question that came up recently was getting a LOS pass that spans the 2 resorts for the appropriate fee the same as you were at one resort. I don't believe I read anyone that had figured out how to do this though I would think it should be possible.

I copied this from Deb's site.
"Ultimate Park Hopper Passes are directly tied to your reservation; hence the length of stay pass must equal the number of nights reserved. If you are staying at 2 different WDW hotels, you would have to purchase 2 different Ultimate Park Hopper Passes not one for the entire visit on property. It will cost more getting two shorter UPH's than one longer one. However, I continue to hear conflicting information regarding this so be sure to check with Guest Services when you arrive. "
It does seem unfair to have to buy two shorter stay UMP and more expensive on a per day cost. But if it is one continuous stay then you couldn't drop 1st and last day could you ???

Wow that's confusing, I guess I could drop the first day at my first resort and have 2 days then drop the first and last day at my second resort and get one day. But as others have mentions this would be more expensive than a single 3 day LOS pass. I guess I'll just have to wait until check in and hope for the best.

We arrive from the cruise on Sun morning and want to do all day Sun & all day Mon. However we leave early on Tues. Does that mean I can buy a 1 night -2 day pass? Or do I have to buy a 2 night -3 day? Very confusing to me, usually we stay longer. Thanks for your help.
