Ah yes. Went to Wal Mart & I was not the only one going there just to get LOTR. I got a free poster as well.
So I will be busy for the next three hours, ;) .

Yep! Got mine in the mail Saturday (had pre-ordered it off the net) :D

We had company all weekend so DH didn't get to watch it yet. He can't wait for the weekend to watch it. :Pinkbounc

DH is waiting for the delux set that comes out in November.

We're waiting for the 4-dis one in November also. We'll be content to rent it until we get ours in! :)

We are waiting for the set in Nov. I got my DW into the fan club at the beginning and her name is suppose to be listed in the set that comes out in Nov.:teeth:

We're waiting for the November release as well. At first I was concerned because I heard that the extra footage was going to push the rating of the movie from PG-13 to R. I checked the official LOTR website last night and they said that the MPAA had given the extended version a PG-13 rating as well. That was all that I needed to hear.

I got ours today. DH will be getting the expanded version and Episode II for Christmas. (That's probably all he'll get, since the baby is coming in February. :D) I wanted to wait, especially since I haven't seen it yet or read the books, but DH just couldn't wait.

DS is going to pick ours up right now. I haven't seen it yet but DH and DS loved it. We got ours at Blockbuster - paid $24.99 for ten movies rentals (1 per week) and the DVD is free!!

I'm waiting till November, but now I'm hearing that the stuff in this release won't be in the November release. SIGH,.... bunch of money grubbers... LOL...

I was also out at Wal-Mart today and got a copy. DH has been asking when it would be coming out (he missed it at the theatre) and I kept saying that I didn't know. So he will be surprised to find it when he gets home. :)

I went to just get the video and came out with over $100 worth of stuff...sheesh!

Jill:rolleyes:

I didn't realize that Blockbuster was running the same sort of promo for LOTR that they did for Shrek. We bought the 10 movie rental card and got Shrek for "free". We enjoyed our weekly trip to Blockbuster to get our prepaid movie rental. Come to think of it, the last time that I was in Blockbuster was when I returned our 10th rental.

Not yet. I expect that Chris picked it up at lunch today....along with a few other of today's DVD releases.

I think the Simpsons 2nd season came out today.

I got mine today at Best Buy (had the best price advertised in the paper this weekend).

There's a booklet inside with some coupons and special offers. One of them is for a $10 rebate on the Collector's DVD gift set or $5 rebate on the special extended edition.

Sams Club has the DVD for 15.95 and VHS for 12.95. They also had the 2nd season of the Simpson's, $34.95 I think.
