My DD13 and I took a day trip to Boston yesterday, mainly to see the Lord of the Rings Exhibition at the Boston Musuem of Science. She is a huge Lord of the Rings fan. The exhibit was worth the trip. It is going to be in Boston from August 1 to the end of October, and then it moves on to another country. I believe Boston is the only place in the US that the exhibit is going to visit. If you are a big fan of Lord of the Rings, and find yourself in the Boston area, it is worth a peek.
There were numerous costumes on display from the movies, along with weaponry, scale models, and a few interactive displays. It took us a good hour to see everything.
My daughter is also a huge fan of Harry Potter, so we took the T over to the IMAX theatre next to the aquarium and saw the latest HP movie on an 85'x65' screen with an amazing sound system. It was the third time she has seen the movie, but what a way to see it again!
