Sorry for the slight delay in our mini TR...life got in the way! I'm here with the next installment! Enjoy!
When I left off we were taking the mandatory picture of the castle upon entering MK and the sky was looking not so magical.
We walked up Main Street USA and Olivia (and I) oohed and ahhed over the castle and then made a right into Tomorrowland, followed by a quick left past Stitch's Great Escape and Cosmic Rays. Then we raced past the Tomorrowland Speedway and spun past the Teacups. We had reached our destination: Toontown and Goofy's Barnstormer.
Olivia has been OBSESSED with this ride since she was finally tall enough to ride it this past March. Of all the times she has ridden it, she has never been with Toby, so I wanted to make sure she got the chance to ride with him. I'm not sure if I have mentioned it, but to say Toby is not a roller coaster fan would be the understatement of the century! He is still not sure if he likes the Barnstormer!
We hopped in line and withing a couple of minutes it was our turn. I sat in the car in front of Toby and Olivia so I could get some pictures of the two of them. Here is a glimpse at our adventure:
I love how terrified Toby looks in this one (even if it is only half of his head...)
And after the ride. Olivia has the biggest smile, and Toby looks like he cannot wait to get off!
After we saw the skies, we drastically cut down our want to do list. Honestly the only thing we felt like we "had" to do was Goofy's Barnstormer and we had done it! Woo Hoo!
Since you can't (well at least we can't) go to Disney without a visit to Mickey and Minnie in the Judge's tent that was our next stop.
Here are Olivia and Daddy, super excited to see Mickey and Minnie!
It's our turn!
Once we had our fix of the main mouse and his Mrs, Olivia wanted to see Cinderella. We walked over to the Toontown Hall of Fame to see what the wait was to check out the royal ladies. 60 minutes! I should mention now that the past 3 times we have waited in line to see ANY face character Olivia has been super nervous when it was finally our turn and ended up not talking or interacting at all. She never cried, just wouldn't go within 3 feet of them, let alone smile for a picture. With this knowledge in the back of my mind, there was no way I was waiting an hour. As we turned around to leave, the CM working the entrance asked who we wanted to see. After I explained the situation to her, she said I didn't need to wait since she had noticed our GAC that I wear on my lanyard. *Note: We have the GAC for several reasons but only use it when it is REALLY necessary, and have never used it for character meets before.* The lovely CM gave us a card and told us to go and wait at the exit and another CM would come and get us. We literally walked right to the exit and the CM was waiting for us. We were walked right in to the Princess greeting area and had about 3 people in front of us. The royalty on duty that afternoon was: Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora. I was really apprehensive about Olivia's reaction this time around. I'll just let the pictures tell the story:
She LOVED them!!! She talked to each of them about anything and everything and each lady got a huge hug! Sorry for the crappy pictures...Toby was on camera duty. The Photopass guys got much better pictures, but I can't bring myself to spend that much money on a couple of pictures when I know we will be back in a couple of months and I am planning on buying the CD then.
After my princess got hugs from her favorite princess, we decided to head out of Toontown and over to the Castle Couture shop. Any guesses why we were headed there? This one might be tricky. I'll give you a clue.....we were not going to spend a single cent on what Olivia wanted to do there.
