We are planning a relaxing week at HRH. April 28- May5 This will be our first trip to Universal. We have the 14 day pass with WW. Looks like we are just going to miss the night show and parade. Disappointed but moving on. I would love some help with a loose itinerary keeping in mind the early park hours. Our first night Sat. the parks close at 6. We we arrive before noon. Is there any way to find out when the dive in movies will be? We are night owls but cant go to clubs with 2 boys 9& 13. I read something about a free hula show at RPH? Any other suggestions of what not to miss, We have a whole week so we really dont want to miss anything.

when you check in to the hotel, they will give you brochures which has info about the activities at the hotel during your stay.

the dive in movies will be listed in that packet.
if you want to know more about it before your trip, contact the hotel directly.

from the website:

Catch the "movie of the week" on a big screen poolside – it's one of our guests' favorite activities and a great way to unwind with the family after a day in the parks! Guests are invited to enjoy a range of family favorites and blockbusters under the stars. Food is also available for order from Bula Bar & Grille until pool closing at 10pm.

Poolside Activities

From ping pong tournaments to pool basketball to hula hoop contests and arts & crafts, you’ll find something fun to do poolside for the whole family. Check with the front desk upon your arrival to find out what’s happening during your stay.

i know this happens on saturdays. i was in my room and heard it going on.
they have the conch ceremony.
the hula dancing girls come out and demonstrate a dance, a narration is given by another in the group.
when this is over, children are invited to come up and dance with the hula dancers.

it begins maybe 6 or 6:30 pm and it is near the pool.

from the website:

Torch Lighting Ceremony

Gather poolside on select evenings for the torch lighting ceremony featuring the "oli aloha" welcoming chant, a fire dancer and more. The torch lighting ceremony at Loews Royal Pacific Resort is based on an ancient Hawaiian tradition called "kukui hele po" which translates to "light to move in the night." Select evenings.

Select nights each week, weather permitting.

there is a luau on saturdays.
