We have a 32' with two slides and awning and thought Loop 500 would be good but now we find out it is an overflow for pets. Since Loop 400 doesnt have pets, we're thinking of requesting that Loop.

Any 400 Loop comments or sites numbers?

Why not start a thread for every loop?

A 32' what? TT, 5'er, Class A, Class C???

I personally don't care for the 500 loop because the sites at the back of the loop are too close together, and that turn at back side is a little tight to navigate. If you don't want to be in a pet loop, but want a preferred loop, I'd ask for the 400 or 200 loops. Either of these are easily navigated and have (for the most part) larger sites.

Whoops, left off the important part: 32" ft travel trailer. Thanks des1954.
You've pretty much confirmed what I needed to hear so we'll request the 400 Loop. We've stayed in Loops 100, 200, 300, but wanted to be in the 400 or 500 loop this time for something different and perhaps easier to walk to the campfire and pool.

We have stayed in the 400 loop and we really enjoyed it. It is still very close to the marina, but still very quiet.

OK, I'm assuming you weren't serious, but it would be helpful to have comments for all the loops so that people (myself included) aren't always asking. Maybe a single FAQ thread with an area for each loop.

Hi! We have a 33' tt and stayed in the 400 loop. Some of those spots are pretty close, but if you or dh are good at backing in...you should be ok. I like 400 because it's a smaller loop. Not as much traffic, somewhat quiet and not too far to walk to the marina. We walked and rode bikes to the campfire. I saw some really LARGE rigs in there and some of their awnings did not come out (some sites are narrow). We were ok with the super slide out on one side and awning out on the other though. The long bed truck did not fit very well though so we had to park sideways. Here's a small pic for ya!

Gillian, this is a great idea. Over the years, our campsite needs have changed (from tents to motorhome to travel trailer) and so I can't always count on our experiences to request the best loop. Using this forum has been useful to get other people's experiences. Without feedback from fellow DISers, I would not have known that the 500 loop is a pet overflow. I'm now only interested in the preferred loops which are smaller and centrally located. And, this forum has helped me decide that.

Thanks for everyone's help.

I'll second that!

I've started making a gridsheet of the loops: which ones are partials (1500 & 2000), which ones are preferred, which ones have pets, & which ones are nearer to things I want!

I love to hear other folks opinions so bring them on!

What the heck am I doing wrong??? Why dont I have all this kind of extra time in my life??? I mean, Ive done my disney research...ya know...to save some money here and there, but if I had the time to do stuff like grid making and loopology and individual site study....Id be a happy man. I envy you guys, I only WISH I could find extra time in my day...not real sure Id spend it making graphs or study sheets...but the extra time would be great :headache:

someone started an excel spreadsheet on the different loops, i think it's the website with the dog. Frankly, I don't give a crap and tell them to put me where I can get in easy. I don't need to plan my vacation out to that level of detail.

That's a big assumption that we have "extra time". You might be surprised that we dont have that much extra time and organizing things allows us to gain a little leisure time. To keep up with my 3 kids, my 40 hour job, and help out my husband, detailed planning has paid off by giving me more free time to spend with the family. If there was ever a chance that I could "chill" from the organizing, that chance is gone. I HAVE to do a lot of advanced planning to ensure that I get the maximum enjoyment with the least amount of wasted energy. Chemotherapy and radiation are not going to keep me from camping at Fort Wilderness and visiting the parks at Disney. Disboards has given me a lot of information for me to realistically plan out what I can do. It is just plan awful for me to look at my kids faces when I tell them I can't do something with them because I am too tired or it's too far for me to walk. Just a few years ago, we were also looking for this same kind of information so we could plan that the kids wouldnt be too tired from walking too far.

So thanks to everyone who has chipped in with the info on my Loop questions. I will be happy to help out Gillian and Take Your Pick in gathering information that could help others.

Wow.....I have to repeat it....I envy you. My planning skills consist of "We GOTTA leave by six a.m." The rest is always a tornado of last second "good ideas"....& they aint always that good! But I DID get all of our dinner reservations made this time. Of coarse thats because on the last trip, one of our good ideas was to "just wing it, not EVERY restaurant will require ADR"....lesson well learned and forever remembered:)

You know the last couple of posts made me think. I assume most of us here have digital cameras so why not walk around your loop the next time you are there and take pics of each site from directly across from it's entrance and then the 180 deg view. The max number of pics for any loop would be less than 100 and you could do that in like an hour or so while either walking your dogs or just taking a couple of walks say one in one direction and the other the opposite direction. This way we would and could with Rhonda's help make a sticky not with opinions, but real pics of the FW facilities. I think I'm going to try and do this for the 1600 loop our upcoming trip and maybe even the 1700 loop which we also like a lot if the 1600 is not available.

Not sure how we could get something like this categorized on this site, but again maybe Rhonda could help.

Larryj that sounds like a great idea, we requested the 900 in march I will do my part if its not done by then, and my 5 year old finds my camera he "borrowed". Hope others do the same, it would be nice.
