I have requested Loop 1300 for our stay beginning on April 9th, staying for 9 nights. I looked at the site map and picked this loop b/c we will have our 3 year old son with us and it looked close to the Meadows Pool & Store Area and has a playground nearby.

Last year in March, we were in Loop 500, but we stayed in the parks all day and all evening. We did not spend any time at the campground, except to sleep. Loop 500 was great for that trip b/c it was close to the Settlement Area for the boat transporation.

But this year.. we are planning to spend a lot of time just "camping", cooking out, swimming (if it;s not too cool), using the playground, Chip and Dale SingALong, movies, etc.. so it looked like to me 1300 was a good location to be close to all of this stuff.

We might have a golf cart with us..you can take your own, right? My parents have one that I am hoping to borrow for the trip.

What do you think????

We just came back from a stay at the fort in February and we were located in the 1400 loop. We found that EXTREMELY close to the pool, store, etc... Our site was located right beside the comfort station and campfire/movie location. We walked thru that right to the pool, no more than 45 seconds... The loop behind us also had a walkway to the area too (600 loop).... Not sure about 1300, but if you wanted to be close to the action, we couldn't have got any closer... lol

We've stayed in 1300 before and requested it for the same reasons you mentioned. We ended up with the very last site in the loop (1334 I think) and it was right beside the playground. This worked out well for us as the kids could use the playground and we could watch them while sitting under the awning :thumbsup2 Another plus was the short walk to the bus stop.

The only downside was the noise of the buses as they left the bus stop, however, if you were deeper in the loop, this wouldn't be an issue.

This past summer, we were in Loop 1100 right across the street from 1300. It's a small loop and was also quite convenient.

We stayed at loop 1300(site 1305) in January 2007. LOVED it! We will request that loop again the next time we go. It was close enough to the pool, bike barn, campfire sing along, etc. We still rented a golf cart b/c eventhough it seems like it's located in the middle of the campground, the place is huge and wayyyy too much to walk it everyday.

We were located right across from the comfort station and just a short walk away from the bus stop. Also at night, if you stand on something high enough you can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom at night. One of my greatest memories was our first night being there and seeing those fireworks...still makes me tear up.

The sites aren't too close together. We had a popup and had two large rigs beside us, but had plenty of room. I hope you have a wonderful time. This is still our favorite place to stay at Disney.

Thanks! I am so glad you had a wonderful time! Yes, those fireworks are quiet a sight!

We like this loop also but a word of advice some of the sites back up to a canal so with a 3 year old you will be on guard more especially if they like to chase ducks etc to the waters edge. The canal is not real shallow and is dark water I think it starts at site 1315 to about 1323 you could ask them not to put you on a site backed up to the canal. Just a word of caution.

Also, Just the other side of that canal is the pool and can be a little (or a lot) noisy. I much prefer the first 7 or 8 sites in the loop. Much closer to the comfort station and away from the noise.

This is another vote for the 1300 loop.We were also near the playground and bus stop even though we did not use either one on our last trip in January. The Comfort Station and laundry, however, are always used. The 1400 loop uses the same turn from the main road as 1300. The noisy WDW transportation never bothers us, and the sites accommodate our 40' MH. Good luck and have fun!

We are getting close to our trip. Thanks for all of your replys! They have been helpful and maybe my request we will granted and I can stay in the 1300 Loop.
