Yup, dived big time! Always happens just before a trip.
Overall though, our economy has a pretty stable footing (relatively speaking) and this is temporary. It's already levelled off from the larger losses this morning, and the premium to buy USD (without bank fees) is still under 5¢. Considering my last trip to the US it was closer to 26¢, I'll take it!
Same thing happens to me - I get my US credit card statement, I buy something online, I book a Disney vacation... bah! I did manage to get some on Monday just under $1.03 but not really enough
No, no, blame me. Gambled with buying into DVC, it dropped. Now it was time to pay the dues, I should have done it, but no. Thought it will go up. Still time till Feb, so I'm holding out and urging the $ to go back up. I think next time it hits .97c, I'm just gonna do what I have to do.
I'll take my share of the blame too ... US Visa bill is due in a few days with deposit for summer WDW trip ... I was hoping if I just gave it "one more day" it might reach $0.98 or better.
Sorry but I am pretty sure it is my fault as I booked our fall trip the night before the drop. My bad. I'll give everyone a heads up before I make any payments.
OK no more looking at the loonie, don't even breathe on it. Or peeking. No buying DVC, no booking a trip,no paying off Visa bills, and no online shopping. Maybe the loonie will come out of hiding again.
Yes and the CAD was around .937 before and is now at .944. Keep talking Obama I would like parity it 40 days when I need to pay off the rest of my trip
