Just wondering how the move is going. I know that both Kevin & John have been on the ABD trip this past week but maybe they will find time to give us an update when they get back.

Just wondering how the move is going. I know that both Kevin & John have been on the ABD trip this past week but maybe they will find time to give us an update when they get back.

The move hasnt actually started yet.

Once we closed on the house, we had some things we wanted to get done and thought that it would all be easier if the house were empty.

We have some new appliances and such, but the biggest change is that we now have hard wood floors. This makes wheelchair maneuvering much easier.

The work on the house ended Friday afternoon (2/18) and we left for the ABD trip on 2/19.

Our next step is to have the house cleaned. There is a fine layer of dust on everything from installing the floors.

Once that's done....the move begins.

I recently learned (after a big remodeling project) that you should turn your air conditioner/heater fan to the On rather than Auto position while cleaning said dust in order to utilize the system's filters to trap dust. This fact may be perfectly well known and/or obvious to everyone else, but I sure wish that I had known it when we were cleaning post-remodel! Just a little unsolicited advice. . .. Congratulations on your new home and I hope your move goes very smoothly!
