according to this article, Harper will be dissolving the current government and calling an election for October 14, 2008.

I agree with both of you! The wierd thing is that we'll have a second "new" government elected and in place BEFORE the US even votes once

If there is a fall election = a waste of our tax dollars!!! There's no point making a law just to break it.

I live in Guelph and we have a By-Election scheduled for tomorrow (September8th) so we have been dealing with the hype involved with an election. NOW it looks like it will be cancelled and the polls will just be pushed back, what a waste of money if you ask me!
