Looks like the price of rental cars are coming down

We are flying into Orlando International Airport mid June for our Disney trip. I booked a rental car through Costco about a month ago for $380. I looked again about 2 weeks ago and got it for $360. Today I looked again and now it’s down to $302. I will keep looking until I leave since it looks like the prices are coming down. Maybe due to gas prices.

I would normally have a car service pick us up at the airport which is much cheaper than renting a car that will sit in the parking lot the whole time. But the first half of the trip we are staying at Disneys Vero Beach so we needed a car.

Just a guess - since gas is so high, maybe they are trying to entice people to rent rather than use rideshare?

Thanks for the heads up - just rebooked my rental car through costco and saved $40!

Thats great to hear. Keep checking hopefully they keep going down.

My wife looked on Southwest Air site and saved even more money reserving a car, and when she uses her Southwest Air credit card (not an advertisement) she gets 4 times points. This was cheaper than costco. (Which costco usually has the best prices) We are leaving the end of next week and I will keep searching all sites to get the best price. If you have a rental car booked for a future trip it is worth checking every site every few days, we just saved over $100 from our original booked price on our car rental. Thats like a free dinner so far….

Went back to the Costco site and saved even more $$$. So far $140 lower. Leaving in 3 days I will check the day before we leave. Quite satisfied with that savings.
