Looks like Diagon Alley Grand Opening is June 20 or 21

The site was pulled down and replaced with one that says "Summer" again. And the Universal Orlando facebook site states "We have not yet announced the official grand opening date for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter- Diagon Alley. We promise to tell you as soon as we can. Incorrect information was wrongfully circulated today and we wanted you to know it’s not true. We’re sorry for any inconvenience."

On the other hand, there are interactive wand markers now in Hogsmeade on the ground, and there is a site up (Can't be linked from here) that has the wand maps for both areas that you get when you get one of these wands.

Universal just denied the June 30th rumor. Said they didn't say it and they don't want guest to have false information.

I don't think they will announce an official opening date. Just to avoid the massive line they had back in 2010 for phase 1 opening. I think it will just go from "Opening Summer 2014" to "Now Open"

That would be fantastic if it went to NOW OPEN. I was there for the 2010 insanity and don't really want to repeat it. We are there towards the end of the month but from what I have heard from a very very good source is not to expect anything prior to the 28th....maybe soft opening day or two before but don't count on that even. Disappointing!

That is the reason they are keeping a lid on the opening of DA. They don't want the same madness that happened a few years ago. It will still be crazy busy but Universal's hope is that people will only have a couple of days notice this time around.

Not now...going to wait until softs occur and most likely not this weekend. Plus there is supposed to be lots of rain.

Well that's just great lol, our trip was supposed to be in may for 3wks but hubby got orders and we couldn't go till Tuesday!
The weather looks awful for next wk.last time we did universal it was in a storm.
Was really hoping for something different
Now wondering if I should try and change around our plans to do disney 1st but have 2wks of dining ressie and Fps....

We are in the typical summer weather pattern now...hot and humid with thunderstorms mainly in the afternoons...most every day. But...a front could come through the area like the past couple of days and really hit hard so keep your eye on the forecast.

I'm not surprise the site was pulled and Universal denied the date. I will admit when I saw it, I thought the date sounded a little late. Diagon Alley packages start the 29th. And supposedly, there is a special Diagon Alley package for Comcast employees that starts on the 26th.

I'll admit it was interesting watching the other 2 message boards light up when the original faulty website showed up. My trip isn't until January so I personally don't need to worry about soft opens and opening dates. Watching the reaction to every piece of news and rumor has been entertaining.
