Thank you everyone! My shopping list keeps getting bigger!!

well, I'm having a party, but it is for my DD's 16th birthday.

We'll do hotdogs and hamburgers, the usual salads. beer soft drinks...I'll be making strawberry marguaritas, both non and alcohol ones and a new recipe for Caribbean Ambrosia Salad.

fresh raspberies
strawberries, quartered
small mango or papaya, cubed,
1/2 cantalope formed into melon balls
2 fresh mint leaves, minced
juice of 1 lime (1-2 tsps)
3 TBSP honey
2 TBSP sweetened coconut
combine all fruit in large bowl
whisk mint leaves, lime juice and honey in small bowl; toss gently with fruit. Garnish with coconut; refridgerate for 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to blend.

Optional: watermelon gormed into melon balls and/or 2 TBSP dark rum.

I'm doing the watermelon, but not the rum....little kids around.

We're having hot dogs and $8 beer at the ballbark in St. Louis! :hyper: Heading to see my beloved Cardinals play! Cant wait!

If you won't have any little ones around make drunken pineapples  They are always a big hit at parties and very easy to make.

1 Giant can of pineapple chunks from Sam's Club
(or use 4 large cans from grocery store)
1 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup Captain Morgans Spiced Rum (can use more or less to taste)

Dump all ingredients in large bowl or Ziploc bag and allow to chill overnight.

Very yummy!
