Looking to sell our points for some emergancy money

First off we are looking to sell our points because our 2 year old Mastiff tore her ACL and she needs it fixed, if we can't do it ourselves we will be forced to give her to Mastiff Rescue so that someone else can take care of her needs. $2400 is the cost of the surgery. Guess we should of gotten health insurance for her. Didn't know it was even an option until it was to late. Take that as a lesson if you love your dog. Look into getting it, it is really quite a good deal for the cost.

Our start month on our points is Aug. When it comes we have 180 availible. Right now we have 119 banked. So if I understand everything properly. If someone wants to go on a trip now we can barrow the 180 to use now. If they want a trip in Aug or later then we have 299 availible. Price is not fixed, but can't give them away due to the nature of the need.

I am really sorry to hear about your dog. Our schnauzer needed major surgery and we learned a lot about pet insurance after that. I am looking for points in July and August for Wilderness. I have never bought or rented so I was wondering if you could possibly help me out. I was wondering how much you need per point and could you tell me a little about your accomodations that are available please? Once again good luck with your mastiff. they are such sweet dogs.

I'm looking for a standard studio at BWV or a studio at OKW for May 9 through the 16. Need either 107 ponts or 98 points respectively if they are avaiable. What are you asking for your points.

Hi Jonathan

Sorry to hear about your dog. We had a newfoundland who required hip replacements, knee surgery for ACL, too...then chemotherapy (she only lived to be 3). Yes, we did it all too...she was our baby. Something we did pursue is we took her (2 hours away) to the University of Madison, Wis. veterinary school. If you have a veterinary school near your home, I would encourage you to go there. They are current with their methods and wonderful recovery rates.

Anyway, we didn't have DVC at the time, but we would do the same thing. We wish you and your dog the best!

Sorry to hear about the dog's ACL, but that cost is not out of line for surgery of that type. Any dog owner needs to know that some of these things will be part of dog ownership and should NOT be a reason to give the dog up. I recently had TWO dogs need intestinal blockage surgery at the same time (they ate a towel), and the cost was over $4000 total, but I expected that sometimes things like that happen. I too wished I had insurance!
