a photo program or graphic program.. any suggestions?
what does everyone else use?

Depends on how much you want to spend on it, and how much time you want to spend learning it. :goodvibes

On the high $/ relatively complicated to learn end, you have Photoshop.
A more reasonably priced but still kind of has a lot of bells and whistles is Paintshop Pro.
A freeware graphics editor like Inkscape can work for you - or you could try any number of 'comes with a camera' software.

That probably wasn't as helpful as it could be, but it kind of depends on what kind of $$ and time investment you want to make.
:confused3

i was leaning more toward paintshop pro or ulead photoimpact

I use Photoshop Elements 5.0 and I am happy with it. But I know that not all of us designers use the same software. I would suggest getting a free 30 day trial online and checking it out first. I did this with both Photoimpact and Photoshop Elements. My personal preference was Photoshop Elements but that doesn't mean that you will like it better. You could try one for 30 days and then try something else until you find something you like. Then you are not out any money in case you don't care for something. Hope this helped!
