Looking to finally purchase, what are the current prices and incentives?

if you go to dvcnews.com, you can find all of them. The incentives right now for AKV are pretty good through Disney.

I believe if you go with 200 points or more, the discount is $21.00 off ($91.00) per point, if you have a member referral (and if you need one, there is a referral thread where you can find someone who is willing to act as your referral).

I have read that some have been told that these will end mid August.

We bought 210 points direct from DVC this past June....got $10 discount for over 200 points and another $8 for member referral. We have a Dec. UY, so we were able to get 2008 points and just pay the MFs on them for half the year...I think $21 off is a good deal.

Dvcnews and the Dis are both non-official sites. If you want 100% accurate information, I would suggest giving DVC a call. You can get a general idea of what people have been offered, but you should always call to get the final word. Some people get frustrated because they read something online at an unofficial site and then that is not what they are offered through DVC.

The only official information I can find directly from DVC through their literature and emails is that points are $112. The incentives that I have received in the mail only indicate the price and that a 3-day cruise is available for a new membership after 160 points are purchased and an add-on after 100 points. This offer ends August 15th.

I agree with PP, contact your guide. The DVCNews.com seems to be old pricing.

With that said, if anyone does know the current pricing, please post it.

Just got off the phone with a guide and she said:

The current incentive of -$19 off per point (160-199pts) and -$21 off per point (200+ points) will end Aug. 20. The incentive regarding the cruise ends Aug. 15 (rec'd a card in the mail today about this one)
