Hi,
I'm brand new to the board looking to book my first disney vacation since i was 7 years old in 91 so it's been quite a while. My question is I'm looking to book May 16-23 2009 for 3 adults and 1 child age 13.I've been trying to book the Carribean beach resort but it comes up as rooms not available. My question is if I instead make a call to disney is there a chance there could still be rooms available for that week.I'm also wondering if since I'm trying to book for 4 people if the rate provided is for 2 rooms or is it for one?.Also if not is there any hotel people could recommend as it's been so long since I've been down there if i can't get the Carribean Beach. Are any deluxe hotels offering reduced rates by chance?.Sorry if this is the wrong forum I'm just learning my way around here.

Thanks
Justine

You can always try calling but generally if its not showing as available then its not available. It does change though as people call to cancel or change resorts so keep trying. The website will only quote for one room. Every resort will accomodate 4 people unless its a room with only a king bed.

There are only so many rooms set aside at each resort in each category for the 4/3 deal. Since May isn't that far off it is highly likely that all rooms at the Carribean Beach Resort that were eligible for the 4/3 deal have been booked. However like the other poster mentioned, availability is very fluid and changes constantly.

I just checked your dates online. Don't know if you're interested, but they are offering Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Villas on the 4/3 at a good rate. It will just be opening at the beginning of May, so it will be brand new. AKL is an awesome resort, but it's not for everyone, so not sure if you'd be interested.

Yacht Club was also available (another great resort) and Saratoga Springs. At this point, you may have an easier time getting a deluxe resort rather than a moderate because most of the mods seem to already be booked for those dates.

Hope this helps!

If you're heart is set on CBR, check some of the online travel wholesalers like Expedia, Travelocity or Orbitz for the 4/3 deal. They buy hotel rooms in blocks at a discount and then sell them. The rooms do not appear on Disney's inventory because theoretically, they have already been "sold" to the wholesaler.

Another option would be to try AAA, USAirVacations, Southwestvacations or any other airline. You don't have to purchase airfare from them in order to book a resort stay. Whisper: I checked your dates on SouthwestVacations and they have CBR for your dates. ;)

I'd like to thank everyone for all their suggestions especially the people who suggested booking with southwest vacation. We ended up booking CBR for the dates we wanted. The only difference is that Southwest doesn't fly out of Boston so we're flying out of Providence instead just a little bit further of a drive but no biggie. So thanks all for your help!
