Looking to arrange a special birthday celebration . . .

for my MILs 70th birthday. We will be renting a house in Formosa gardens (7 adults, 3 kids) from 12/29 - 1/06 so we don't *have* to necessarily do something special in WDW. We already had V&A Chef's Table as an option but my FIL wants to do something with to involve the grandkids. We're thinking of renting the Grand 1 for a Wishes cruise, but I'm also thinking of something that would last a little longer than 1 hour or tacking on something inexpensive to extend the event.

If you had to plan something along these lines, What Would You Do??? Keeping in mind, that my FIL likes to be extravagant at times but my MIL needs to reign him in when he goes overboard. Somewhere in between no holds barred and no cost???

Hi Meg, what about combining the fireworks cruise with dinner either before or after at Cinderella's Castle. You could all dress up nicely and then have the photos with Cinderella as a keepsake. This would work great for me, but if your MIL is not so into the whole Disney thing then it may be overload.

Okay, just had a crazy thought, but it might work. Would the Bibbidy Bobbity Booutique be totally silly for a 70 year old?? Obviously she could not get a costume, but what about hair and make up in a princess style, then formal photos with the family?? I know it sounds crazy, but I would love that!!

hmmmmmm . . . . She does want to take my DN (5) to BBB - I'm not sure if she would have anything done, but she might. I'm not too sure about CC because I have two boys (4/8) who are totally not into the princesses. But maybe dinner somewhere else after BBB - she was looking at Fulton's Crab House - and then the fireworks.
