Hello,

I just wanted to take the quick moment to introduce myself. I am currently saving for a trip to Disney in 2019. I know, its aloooong way off. My wife and I went to Disney world in March of 2014 for our wedding/honeymoon. We now have a nine month old baby boy and are going to take him to Disney on our 5th wedding anniversary. He will be 3 years and nine months when we go and hope to have pictures taken at the same place our wedding took place. We are saving so early for flights/hotel/dining/MagicPass/so basically everything. So I will probably be posting/looking at the budget section a lot.

Welcome to the DIS. You are choosing a great age to take your son for his first trip to Disney. This will give you a lot of time to learn all the ins and outs of planning the perfect trip. I'm sure prices, policies, etc. will change from now until the time you go so make sure to keep up on everything. Learn about fastpasses, dining plans, ADRs, crowd levels and crowd calendars, yada yada yada! I'm sure you know the drill. Have a great time planning and make sure to ask anything along the way.

Good luck planning your trip! I'm planning a vacation for late 2017 so I totally get working on it now, especially from a budget/savings standpoint. Magical though WDW may be, cheap it is not! I haven't been there since my daughter was 4, and when I finally get back she'll be 13! Her brother will be 5, though, so it'll be interesting to see how this works out! I'm also utilizing a lot of the resources here. Thankfully we have a lot of expertise here, and the members seem very willing to share it!

I hope you have fun when you get there. I'm sure it'll be great!
