Hi, I have a Nikon D-7000, with the 18-105 kit lens, 35 prime, & Tamron 70-300 mm lens. Our family just returned from Yellowstone, & came back with some pretty awesome photo's. The 70-300 mm was recently purchased, & I really enjoyed it. It's not tack sharp at 300, but I'm really happy with the results. I spoke to a photographer while on vacation. He was using a Nikon 18-300 mm lens. He said he loved it, although it took some time to get use to it's weight, but he also said it's now the main Lens he uses. I don't mind switching lens, but there were a few times I came close to missing a shot trying to switch between my 18-105 to my 70-300. Wondering if any one else here uses the 18-300 lens & your thoughts on it. My question though is what would you recommend for a wide angle lens. Especially with all the beautiful landscape shot's in Yellowstone, I could have used a wider angle lens. Also thinking it will be nice to have on our next Disney vacation. What do you all think?

I've used the Tokina 11-16 and would definitely recommend it. Its very sharp and is a constant 2.8.

I use the Tamron 10-24. I don't think the IQ is as good as the Tokina, but it's affordable with a very very useful focal range.

Thanks all, I appreciate the quick responses! Now I have a starting point, going to check out pricing. I always come to the DIS first, the photography board is a great place, & you all are always so helpful.
