Looking for suggestions for non Disney excursions in the Caymans.

None of the current Disney excursions offered in the Cayman Islands really appeal to us. We usually do an Old Town Trolley type tour to get an overview and some local history and culture. There really doesn't seem to be any of this type of thing. Is it difficult and/or safe to catch a taxi to the turtle farm and then to a hotel on the beach for lunch? Really need suggestions !! Thanks !!

We got off the tender from our ship and took a "duck" style tour. At the time (2+ years ago) there was one duck tour that worked only with the ship excursions, and one that took anyone; we took the "anyone" one.
