STILL LOOKING--any more updates? edited to add WV--we can go to WV too!!!!

Hi--we are going home to MD (right outside Baltimore) next week. We had planned a ski & tubing trip to Seven Springs (PA) for Wed (Jan 4). However--their recent ski report (as of yesterday) has bare spots on the beginner slopes. We may just go to Wisp or Whitetail for tubing if the ski conditions don't improve--and according to my brother--they probably won't. Temps are a little high for this time of year and there isn't any really cold weather or snow predicated.

My DGS (5) has talked about nothing but seeing his first SNOW when we go home. Santa even bought him snow boots, gloves, long johns, etc.

Can anyone tell me--where in MD, PA or VA there might be snow on the ground? We would be willing to drive and just let him play in a public park as long as we can find somewhere with snow on the ground.

Sorry but nothing in North East Pa yet, I can check the weather and get back to you.

It's supposed to be 55 degrees here today. No snow in the forcast.

Nothing we have been in the 70's most of Dec so they can't even get the snow makers going to lay a good start..

We always go Tubing this time of the year but not this year.

Good luck.

Not sure if the ski resorts around me are making snow or not. I live in the mountains so it is a little cooler here then where L107ANGEL lives.

We didn't get snow last night, but we did have freezing rain.

Nothing here yet - which stinks since I want to get up to 7 Springs myself for some snow tubing. Even if we do get any, it's supposed to be 52 by Saturday :( - I like snow! I'm a cross-country skiier so a lot of snow would make me very happy.

Nothing here yet - but I tell ya what, when it does snow, I'd be MORE than happy to send all of the snow in this area to you! I hate snow...

It looks from their website that Wisp has at least some trails open, and possibly the snow tubing as well. I can highly recommend their tubing runs. It's a bit of a drive from Baltimore, though.

I saw a few snowflakes yesterday at my SIL's house in Elysburg Pa. But they didn't last too long. At least I can say I saw snow on Christmas. It lasted for about 15 -20 minutes and they were big huge snowflakes too!

Yuck, glad the inlaws came down here yesterday. I hope it stays FAR away from here!

Unseasonably warm temps here. Not a flake in the forcast....usually b-more doesn't see snow until late Jan.

still looking--looks like we're going tubing at 7 springs (heck of a long drive but hey...) but still looking for snow to play in. Anywhere-------

They're calling for rain on NYE and day, so maybe the higher elevations will get some snow out of it....
