How was it?

What ages do you think it's appropriate for?

Any sad surprises...like in Marley and Me?

TIA

Hi! I haven't heard any reviews yet, but we are going to see it Saturday in 3D at the Imax. I actually read the book to my four year old a while ago and she mostly liked it. Especially the cat, but was a bit frightened at some parts. It really isn't that scary, so I would say it would be for six and up if your kids are frightened easily, but my DD loved the Nightmare Before Christmas since she was three so I think she will be fine. It shows the commercials as a family flick!

I thought it was really inappropriate in parts, and not meant for children. My son, who doesn't scare easily, was out in the lobby with a lot of other children who were scared.

My daughter kept looking at me when there was salty langauge, or the part where a large chested woman had on a thong and pasties.

I would skip it, I wish I would have.

Well it is not a G-rated movie, it is PG. .It looks kind of spooky too.I debated about taking my 5 yr old and decided not to. I wasn't surprised about Marley and ME, it was also not a G rating, and it was very publicized that it does not have a happy ending.Plus ,we had our dog put down late 2007 and I had no desire to relive it or have my 5 yr old go thru it again, daily questions about my dog are enough. So I didn;t take DD to that either
