I did it on the member cruise, I think there had been 2 excursions offered, one was shorter in time, ours was about 2 1/2 hours, it was longer than the other one. The "rigid hull" ladder was hard for me to get up from the water, but that's my health issue. I did see some others have trouble as well, but we all were helped. I had 2 knees replaced and one of my goals for doing so was to be able to snorkel again. It was not the snorkeling, but getting back onto a boat that was nearly impossible for me to do. Sometimes the catamaran has actual steps to climb up, that would be a piece of cake for me now, I almost did not book because this was such a different sort of boat to get into, and the ladder was sort of a rope ladder, but I figured I would get help and I did. I have snorkeled last month in Hawaii and the boat had a different sort of entrance from the water, and I did not need as much help as I did on this zodiac.
Now about the excursion.
The first stop was a snorkeling site and it took over 1/2 hour to get there. I enjoyed it very much, there were many kinds of fish, I do not remember if the coral was especially pretty or not, but I was very happy with the excursion. After the snorkeling, we went to a sandbar, that was at least another 1/2 hour away, and everyone could get out and swim, play around in that shallow area in the middle of the ocean. Someone found a starfish and showed it around. I cannot walk on sand, so I did not get out, but everyone who did seemed to have a good time.
