Looking for review of Family Magic Tour at MK

We did it last summer with a 5, 7 and 11 year old and they all loved it. Meeting Peter Pan and Wendy at the end was awesome and a great memory for the kids. You have to be willing to act a little silly and not worry about people looking at you funny.

Thanks for the info. We're taking our DS to Disney for his 8th b'day and thought this sounded like fun. I heard that you look for Hook's best hook and meet a character at the end who you get to take pictures with. I've also read about the character taking you on a ride and that you get some kind of certificate.

Can you verify (or provide) any details?

Many thanks!

You all meet up near the bathrooms by City Hall. There is a large group ( I think about 25) and you have a guide who help you read the map and follow it. You walk through the park acting silly and following the clues on the map. You then are taken to a little area that is roped off (I think it was behind the Christmas shop in Liberty Square). Out come Peter Pan and/or Wendy. You have some time with them and get your picture taken. Then they take you on a ride with them (our was Philharmagic, where the kids sat in the front row with Peter Pan and Wendy). You get a certificate and Peter Pan and Wendy will sign it. I am not doing it again because we have a 2 year old and it wouldn't be much fun for her, but it is a huge hit with dh and dd!!

We did it last week and some of the kids were bored by it. One boy (about 9yo) even said "I'm bored" and then a few others chimed in. DH and I didn't think it was worth it at all until we got to meet Peter Pan and Wendy. The beginning is like a scavenger hunt and we had to act like a dog and bark through Main Street Plaza (where DH overheard a woman say "What a bunch of idiots." Nice.) We walked all around the park and went on the People Mover ride in Tomorrowland.

The Peter Pan and Wendy interaction saved this tour and made it worthwhile.

JMHO!

I can't imagine barking thru the park.. sounds so funny.. my husband would never do it!

I didn't think my DH would do it either, but he played along. Thing is, if you volunteer any information, you get to be the leader! I of course, didn't realize this and got to lead 25 people through Main Street barking. As the guide said, You'll never see any of these people again! The only other part where you have to be silly is when you "sneak" through a counter service restaurant, which basically means going on tip-toe leaning over, so not too bad!
